FISHBURNE???
Oct 2 2009, 3:50 AM EDT
CSI will survive and thrive as long as George Eads continues to play 'Nick Stokes' with his masculine, mature, good looking, believable acting style. But how could ANYONE think Laurence Fishburne could possibly replace William Petersen??? It's not even logical casting, and I'm NOT a racist (Shemar Moore, for instance, is hot, and a good actor), but Fishburne is simply boring, no personality in character or otherwise, just BLAND in trying to play his part. And if I've offended anyone, sorry...but if the CSI creators thought they were wise in casting Fishburne...my God, they must be nuts! 6 out of 6 found this valuable. Do you? |

Well, now that I've discovered Petersen WANTED off the show for a Broadway stage appearance, I'll be glad to make a bet that...at some point, perhaps next season, he will be making a (somehow explained) reappearance, and Fishburne will suddenly (somehow explained) disappear! And sorry, but...Sara can just stay home!!! 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Nobody ever said LF could replace Petersen, TPTB hired him after an extensive search, He's different, then Billy who's like Billy anyway.?. uh, no one and am one of the biggest Petersen fans on the earth. I was hesitant and resistant, and was ready to dislike hm but quite the opposite, he's a great choice. I like everything about him, and find no faults,He's got his own brand of charm, he's smart, funny, calm. cool and collected and the team all like him. I'm happy with his performance and have no qualms about his lasting ability .....good choice writers~THUMBS UP!

He's definitely NOT supposed to be Grissom, but I like him. He's new and shiney to the show, and not some bimbo chick either! lolAs long as the Nick and Greg stay, I'll be watching though. :P 2 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

Nick and Greg are rock stars and strong leading men, and I as well would be devastated if they left. I like your descriptiopn that LF is "bright and shiny" good job!

I don't know why no one likes Raymond. I think he is a good actor and and a good CSI(I admit hes no Grissom). I guess that most people are biased against new people in their shows because they assume their going to suck, but I like Raymond!

I have been watching this show for a long time, and I just go with the flow. I barely notice Grissom's, Sara's or even Warrick's absence because I watch for the crimes and science. 2 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

I personally think he adds a little objectivity to the team, since the rest have been working with each other for so long they practically think the same way.He reminds Hill Harper's character in CSI: New York, who went from being a coroner to a CSI. His character also had a tendency to try and save suspects, rather than shoot them. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

HA!!! You folks just amaze me! Laurence obviously drug his entire family over to the computer and got all their cheer-leading messages clocked in just minutes apart!Sorry, but Fishburne needs tgo go and Petersen needs to be brought back before the show will ever "shine" again. And if Petersen can't be brought back, the producers need to grab a really GOOD actor who would fit in...maybe the ex-Senator who had to leave his role on 'Law & Order' when he briefly ran for President. 5 out of 6 found this valuable. I THINK FISHBURNE IS FABULOUS IN EVERY WAY SHAPE AND FORM, I think he's doing a marvelous job and the writers picked him and knew he'd be a hit. And on 'nobody likes him", is just not true, Billy Petersen is done with CSI, he's back in Chicago doing his "plays" but might be up for a guest spot [isn't that big of him?] I think S/10 has been stellar and so far sensational~

The thing that bothers me about Fishburne is he took over the show. He is trying too hard , where the others have had years of experience. Katherine is not a favorite of mine but I will admit that she had more backbone with .Grissom. Glad that Nicky has more time but what about Greg. Yeah the show is about the crimes but it was also about the people that worked together. Glad Sara returned, missed her and it's good to see her interact with the old crew.

CSI was the story of Grissum and how he reacted with his team and the world. A truely interestin character. Fishburn is ok but he can not carry the show.I thinl it should come out that Fishburns charactet turns out to be a killer or domething. By Mr. Fishburn, hello Grissum. Jorjas comming back did nothing for me. Her role before was to be Grissums girl friend. Her being there without him adds nothing. But I love the two of them together. I have wuit watching. The magic is gone. And how many times can lightening in 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

I have an idea for a cross over. Criminal minds can come to Las Vegas for a serial killer who they later discover is Langstion. Sara coming back makes me think of the old team and how much I miss it. Put her with Greg again.

"HA!!! You folks just amaze me! Laurence obviously drug his entire family over to the computer and got all their cheer-leading messages clocked in just minutes apart!I agree... I don't dislike Fishburne, just the way his character has been thrust on the show.. He's gone from a bumbling idiot/rookie, CSI, to a know it all expert, more or less over night, and he is only a CSI 2... If they'd introduced him as an Experienced CSI/Investigator from somewhere else to take over from Grissom, he would have been accepted better.. After all, Catherine's supposed to be superviser, not him.. Nick and Greg, even Sara, now she's back ,all out rank him.. but he's out in the field solving crimes on his own, telling them what to do, whilst they are paired together. Surely he should be paired with one of them untill he's more experienced.. 4 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you? |

i don't think they need any other actor but the ones they have. Between the lab rats and the crew the show could survive. Maybe a quest apperance from Grissom would help And lets get back to the family feeling they had before 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
