9th February 2009 - William Petersen latest

It is rumored that Grissom may make a cameo appearance in the 200th episode which is directed by his friend William Friedkin, the episode has now been shot and should be episode 9.18 Hitchiker or Mascara (Episode name not clear yet)
Carol Mendleshon stated that Billy would most likely be behind the camera's rather than in front of them.

gsrbritfan - 27th January 2009
Question: There have been rumors that William Petersen will be appearing in the 200th episode of CSI directed by his friend William Friedkin. Will [former CSI star] Jorja Fox also be appearing with him?

While the 200th episode of the CBS crime-procedural will indeed be directed by Oscar-winner William Friedkin (The Exorcist, The French Connection), and executive director Carol Mendelsohn has said that Petersen will make a cameo ("Grissom will come back in an organic way, to visit or be on a case with the people that are his family."), there's no official word that Fox will be included in the episode. The only stunt-casting I've heard about so far will include teen country singer Taylor Swift, who, according to the show's executive producer, plays "a troubled teenager, the daughter of a couple who run a very seedy Vegas hotel."

Petersen, who is still a producer on the show and is affectionately called "Billy" by his colleagues, will likely be on-set for the filming of the episode, but not in front of the camera, Shankar said.

Executive director Carol Mendelsohn promised Petersen would appear, however, in a future episode.

"Grissom will come back in an organic way, to visit or be on a case with the people that are his family," she said.

Joked Fishburne: "Billy said he would be back to make sure I didn't burn the joint down."

gsrbritfan - 10th January 2009 - Jorja Fox to appear in 9.10 One to Go!

January 13th issue #8 of the CSI Magazine (CSI: Miami on the cover)

Following the introduction of Doctor Raymond Langston in episode nine (19 Down), episode 10, entitled One To Go, sees the much-mourned departure of William Petersen’s Gil Grissom. Though the exact way in which he leaves had not been revealed at the time of going to press, it seems that One To Go will also feature the finale return of Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox). [...]

7th January 2009 - 9.10 One to Go - gsrbritfan

No sign of Jorja Fox on the guest cast list for any of the spoilers, but bear in mind she wasn't on the cast list for either 8.01 Dead Doll or 9.02 The Happy Place. The site JFO reported that they have it on good authority that Jorja/Sara will be appearing in the episode. Wikipedia and a couple of other sites have also reported the same information, but none stating a source. There have also been plenty of rumors on GSR fan message boards and sites that Jorja Fox was spotted at the filming studio's when William Petersen was filming his last scenes, again no one stating a source.

Information has been vague and rumors rife for how many episodes this season that Jorja Fox would be appearing in, and again all unconfirmed without reliable source. In Jorja's pre Emmy party interview with Ausiello she said that she would be popping in and out of the show, was eager to get back to work, but vague about what kind of future work!

So at present it is still a question of will she? or wont she be appearing in 9.10 One to Go!

Ausiello: Just a tip: Set your DVR to record a few minutes past 10 pm on Jan. 15, just as a precaution. You do not want to miss the final scene. Trust me. Also, you'll want to pick up a copy of the new EW when it goes on sale this Friday. I think you'll fancy the cover subject.

gsrbritfan - 2nd December - Episode 9.09 19 Down Details

Heidi in Washington, D.C.: Do you have any CSI scoop?
Just caught the ep where Laurence Fishburne makes his first appearance as CSI: Vegas' newest character, and as far as I can see, Fishburne's Dr. Raymond Langston, a pathologist turned professor, has exactly the gravitas needed to fill the coming Grissom-shaped void in the show. In this ep, airing Dec. 11, Grissom announces his retirement, and the rest of the episode focuses on the gang's reaction--Willows knew it was coming before Grissom did, Super Dave cries, etc. Anyway, Fishburne's character, Dr. Raymond Langston, is introduced in a classroom setting, but Grissom's current investigation and Langston's lesson plan--interviewing a serial killer as an academic exercise--soon intersect. Langston busts Grissom in a lie shortly after they meet, but don't worry; their clash is quickly put aside when that jailbird serial killer Langston was interviewing starts spilling secrets about a series of recent homicides taking place in the city. Langston doesn't join the team in this ep, but the foundation is laid, and it looks to be a strong one.

gsrbritfan - 23rd October 2008 - No sign of a geek baby & Petersen's last day on the set as a series regular!
No sign of geek baby - I wasn't surprised to learn that so many of you got choked up at the gut-wrenching scenes from Warrick's funeral, but I was taken aback by some commentary regarding Sara's appearance — namely, whether or not she was with child, and if her condition would eventually explain her abrupt decision to leave Las Vegas last season. All I can say is — good God, no. Look, I hated her poofy dress (and the curls she wore with it) probably as much as the next fan, but never in my wildest dreams would I have considered she was trying to cover up a secret pregnancy. That's why I was relieved to learn from a CSI insider that no such treacly twist is in the cards for Sara — who, based on last night's episode, has once again abandoned her beloved for destinations unknown
Billy's last day on the CSI set as a series regular - Warrick was the biggest mistake they could have made," Billy Petersen was back on the Universal Studios lot shooting his last episode as a series regular. Yup, you read that right — his last day was Oct. 10 (though he has hinted about making occasional appearances in the future). Apparently, there were no video crews from ET or Access Hollywood present. Only the cast and crew were there to say their final goodbyes to the "King," Petersen's nickname on the set. So it's real now, folks — Gil's done flown the coop.

gsrbritfan - 10th October 2008 - DJ Paul Edge on CSI & Producer Phil Conserver of CSI
You don't get to the top by following the pack. You do it by breaking away and blazing your own trail. DJ Paul Edge has definitely carved his own path.
In the '90s, Edge served as headlining DJ for one of the UK's hottest club nights, The Outer Limits, and his breakthrough single "The Metamorphosis of Narcotics" has become a staple of the trance genre. While in the process of introducing his "psychedelic dance music" to America, he has also made a poignant political statement as the man behind the "We Will Not Be Silenced" videos, two of the Internet's most-viewed viral political videos. However, he's about to really catch America's attention when he appears on the Halloween episode of the CBS hit television series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, the world’s most-watched television show.
He plays a DJ on the show, and his music adds an enticing darkness to the scenes. His electronic re-work of Stone Temple Pilots' classic "Sex Type Thing" segues into a pounding original cut entitled "Release Yourself." Edge’s music shifts seamlessly from textural electronics to rigid rock 'n' roll grooves, and it blares as a bevy of girls in Halloween costumes gyrate and move. Another of his tracks, "LSDevil," adds a brooding depth to two more scenes. Edge’s vibrant catalog inspired CSI to choose the DJ for the show. After watching the episode, which premieres October 30, it's clear they made the right choice.
The ninth season of the original, Las Vegas-based CSI begins October 9, and ARTISTdirect had the opportunity to sit down with both DJ Paul Edge and CSI co-producer Phil Conserva to discuss music, their collaboration, CSI, and more in these exclusive interviews.

901 | For Warrick Spoilers
Major Spoiler! - posted August 22nd 2008

The GSR is brief, but wonderful.

Sara appears at the end of Act II. Grissom, who, btw, looks very hot in this episode as he goes through a range of emotions we've never seen from him before (far more than in Dead Doll) has had to strip off his shirt because it's evidence. So he puts on his dark blue CSI windbreaker.
We see him from the back walking through the halls of the lab and into his office. Sara is there, leaning against his desk, looking much prettier and softer than in previous seasons.
Grissom stops in his tracks. They just regard one another for a few seconds, then embrace. Sara tells him she caught the first plane out (We have to assume Grissom called her, but we aren't privy to the call).
Her voice is very shaky. Grissom says nothing. They just continue to hold one another. Their facial expressions say everything.

Cut to commercial.
When we come back from the commercial break, Grissom and Sara are sitting in occasional chairs, facing one another, about knee-to-knee, and she's holding his hands in hers. He says, "Warrick didn't want to go."
She says, "Tell me."
Grissom: "God, Sara, I could feel his life..."
Grissom- (con't): "I thought if I could hold him tight enough ..."
Sara: "There's nowhere he would have rather been at the end. He loved you."
Grissom: "Yeah. I loved him."
Of course all of this is accompanied by incredible facial expression work by WP.
Major Episode Details - posted August 24th 2008

Continued from spoiler above & same information source;

What follows is part of the full scene leading up to the opening credits -- from the show, not from any CBS promos.
(I obtained a loan) the DVD of the episode as it was distributed to TV critics by
CBS.The full episode. Unless CBS pulled a fast one for some reason,
an expensive and destructive thing to do, what I saw is the episode
as it will air. Private sources own words.

A man's voice is calling in an "officer down"
alert to the cops, and we see Jeffrey McKeen walking away from
Warrick's car as he makes the call.

Cut to: Grissom is standing at an
outdoor newsstand, flipping through a magazine (Traveler). His car
windows are open (I think this must be his personal car, not the crime
lab's SUV), and he has a hand-held police radio on the passenger seat.
The radio is calling for units to respond to the officer down call just received. At first,
Grissom is paying only half attention. Then,
as he realizes the gravity of the call and the fact that the location
is near his, he walks toward his car to hear better. When the location
is repeated, he glances up the street, realizing it's where

he's just come from.

Cut to: the bottom of the alley with Warrick's car about 30 yards
away. Grissom appears there and studies the car for a moment, then
starts running full tilt toward it. When he gets there, he looks in
the open passenger window and sees Warrick as we left him in May. He
hauls the door open and ducks inside and studies Warrick for a second
(we don't see it, but he might be checking for a pulse at the neck).
He then wrestles Warrick's body out of the car and lays him on the
ground, calling his name. Warrick chokes out blood on the front of
Grissom's shirt, and Grissom takes off his jacket and
puts it under
Warrick's head.

Continued from above spoiler dated 24th August.

McKeen then comes back towards the car. Warrick's eyes go wide and he tries to say something to Grissom, but he has no voice (Presumably his vocal chords have been severed by the gunshot wound to his neck) When Grissom bends down to hear better and says “What” McKeen puts his hand on his sidearm, apparently ready to shoot both Grissom and Warrick, However Warrick can only choke up blood, and he starts fading. Grissom looks up at McKeen (though not as shown in the first promotional pictures to be leaked) and demands “Where are the paramedics McKeen walks off and calls them, and we hear sirens in the background. Grissom pleads with Warrick to hold on, to fight “Fight for me Warrick” he says. Grissom is trying to hold the throat wound closed with his hands. Warrick dies in Grissom's arms, and Grissom quietly says “No”, he then lifts Warrick's head and shoulders into his arms and holds the dead man to his chest.

Zoom in on Grissom's face, sad angry and in shock.

Fade to title sequence....

More to follow soon!
Specific CSI Episode Details for 901 | For Warrick - posted September 13th, 2008 (1:15pm GMT)

The investigation - The team begin to realize McKeen is lying about just finding Warrick. He says he was going to the diner to tell Warrick he could keep his job when he stumbled on the scene. He says he was standing about 20 feet from the alley when he heard two shots and ran to the car.
Well, Grissom took the same route up the alley, so they out there to reenact. Nick fired a gun, and Griss, hearing the shots, starts running. When Griss passes the back of a nightclub, he remembers hearing loud music coming from inside while he was running. So they have the nightclub put on the same music at the same decibel level it was at that moment and try again. This time, Grissom doesn't hear the shots. So they know McKeen is lying.

Nick figures, first person on the scene is the first subject.
Then Jim recalls when he first came to Vegas, he thought McKeen was on the take, and he explains why. They go looking for McKeen and manage to track where the dirty cop who framed Warrick has been staying from cell phone records. They just miss McKeen and the cop, who have split for Mexico.
En route, the cop shoots McKeen in the stomach and their car goes through a guard rail. The dirty cop is killed. McKeen crawls away, bleeding. Nick follows. He finds McKeen lying in a gully. McKeen says some horrible things about Warrick, which infuriates Nick, who has his gun pointed at McKeen. McKeen tries to goad Nick into killing him, and Nick really, really wants to. His hand is shaking. He's squeezing the trigger.Cut to Brass, who is running to catch up with Nick. Brass hears the shot and races to where Nick and McKeen are. McKeen looks dead. Nick still has the gun pointed at his head. Brass says, 'Nick?' Nick tells Brass McKeen has been shot in the stomach and has lost a lot of blood, that they'd better get a medivac chopper in quickly.
Brass: 'What was the shot?'
Nick, turning very slowly to face Brass: 'I missed.'
Brass arrests McKeen on the spot.
