"The way TPTB sent Sara off caused more questions than answers, which is what TPTB wanted. Look at the comments/questions on this site we are all wondering "whats up doc" but that adds to the drama, that and the writers strike". We know, from interviews, that Sara/Jorja is coming back for visits and (cross fingers and pray) will come back permanently one day soon but the real question is how will they reintroduce her. I don't see them bring her back "I'm back I've dealt with my ghost lets go solve a murder" I actually don't see her coming back to CSI as an investigator at all but she will come back for Grissom, her home base, her spine. I see her coming back and asking Grissom to help her face the ghost of her father and the events that lead up to his death.

When Grissom told Brass or Catherine that she (Sara) was in SF with her mother, I believe its her Foster Mother not her Biological Mother. So, I think, for dramatic effect, Grissom stands up for Sara and helps her meet with Bio Mom at her prison and get the details of Sara father life and death. To send Sara out of CSI took 3 episodes maybe they should have done it in more to add to our understanding of what she was going through but I don't think that Jorja would have stayed that long, TPTB had a short time to set up an exit strategy for Sara and they did the best that they could without detracting from the rest of the show."
