If Jorja and CBS agree on the contract to let Sara live, *crosses fingers* this is the episode I would want to see. Long Live Sara!!!
Catherine, Greg, Nick and Warrick are ransacking Natalie's home, while Grissom is in the interrogation room with her, trying to get her to come down from her singing. Greg falters as he finds a clue that would lead him to Sara, realizing they may be to late even if the manage to get there in time. He screams to get the other's attention. Catherine reaches him first, sees the clue, reaches for her walkie talkie, calls in dispatch. Sends them to the part of the desert that is on the other side of the state. Each of them trying to figure out what to do next, their minds cluttered with details, hoping that they would reach their comrade in time. Nick and Warrick offer to stay and take care of the scene while Catherine and Greg go to the scene. The pair shoot off. Warrick picks up his cell and calls Grissom as Nick looks at the open door and a sob breaks loose from his lips. "Please don't let her die." As the rain poors, lights and sirens appear in the distance. Sara, moving her right hand from under the car stiffens, wondering if that was all in her mind as the sound softens. But the lights are still shining, and they get closer she becomes more aware. Sara lets out a helpless child-like wail, trying to get their attention. The rain is making the dirt around her muddy and she could feel the car sinking, pressing into her back. Suddenly the noise stops all together and a warm hand grasps hers. She gasps as they pull her out, Catherine pulls her into her lap and hugs her while Greg is hovering around. Paramedics pull Sara into the ambulance and hurry to take her to the hospital. Everyone comes to visit her, even Lindsey. Her room is full of flowers, get well cards, etc. Grissom at her side, holds her hand and kissing her forehead. "Sleep. I expect you to be at work on Monday." She chuckles.

The writers' strike kept us waiting all those months. We finally started watching new episodes two weeks ago. Season 8 will be over at the beginning of May. Today, I anxiously turned on the TV at 9:00 PM to see a new episode and got hit with a repeat instead (802-A La Cart). What the hell is going on? Is CBS playing mind games with CSI fans? Hopefully, it won't happen again. Maybe, next week, they'll air two new episodes.

Okay, this is me venting about the episode of CSI that aired Thursday night, January 10.
First off, the beginning wasn’t too farfetched, yes, that was Ty Murray, and yes he is the president of the PBR this year. So far, so good. About 15 minutes into the episode, Nick and Greg found the Ford super duty, and low and behold, there was a registration in the glove box proving it was the DB’s from Elk City, Oklahoma. This is where I start with the problems. One, Elk City is not that big of a town, TWO, Oklahoma is a non title holding state. The only, ONLY one in the country. We do NOT, NOT, get proof of registration to carry around in the vehicles. The only thing you get is your insurance verification, and you have to obviously have a driver’s license. I mean, I know this was all done before the writers strike, and I’m behind them 100%, but I mean come on. Can no one do just a smidgen of research before they write the damn episode? How can they get everything else scientific accurate, but miss something as literally as small as a piece of paper. It just baffled me to no end. Three, those bulls are worth a TON of money. Just like our horses, when they are at big events like that, security is hired, and every owner gets someone to watch the bulls. That, and where they are kept is lighted, and there are always people around. I just have a problem with all of this. There is no way in hell, two people could separate one bull from a lot of around 10, run him into a chute just to collect him. Even if the one dude was like I work for the owner, people would be watching them the whole time. Anyway, I can’t help but call this the worst episode of CSI, I have ever seen. I only hope after the strike, everything gets back on track.

I live in Scotland and as such I have only seen up to 'The Chick Chop Flick Shop' and I have to say...season 8 has so far been a major dissapiontment to me.
I mean lets start with 'Dead Doll'...complete let down. We had to wait for months with a ridiculous amount of hype in the lead up to the premier of the episode. So everybody sits down to watch and are treated to an hour of CSIs abandoning all perspectives of rational thought and endless shots of...desert. Why would Sara...an educated woman, abandon the scarlet red beacon of the car??? They actually found the car before her so if she would have stayed there she would have saved herself a lot of trouble and the viewers a lot of repetitive, tiresome shots of sand. Also its not a good sign when in the first episode of a brand new season, lengthy clips of other episodes are used...I mean surely they could have thought up something more poinient for Nick and Sara's realationship than an old Gum Drops clip they dug up from the archives. And the miniture killer arc was the one of the best ideas any television show has ever created and in one episode it is scrapped. No follow up to Natalie Davis, No real harm done to Sara...the whole episode was a waste of time...and it lost my attention half the way through...for the first time ever in CSI. 'A la Cart' started out with such ambition and it once again failed. I mean the whole thing with Ecklie took over the episode for no reason...if a punishment was handed out for the total violation of lab policy...then maybe yes but instead we were treated to some phaffing about. Sara voluntered to move to swing. Lovlely way to bypass a major obstacle. Now 'Go to Hell' I must say was on par. Excellent story, brilliant acting and all in all, what I watch the show for. 'The case of the cross dressing carp and 'The chick chop flick shop'.didn't have any real purpose did they? Grissom ask Sara to marry him...continued

Every other episode has a photo that represents the episode but there is none for Lying down with Dogs. All the other episodes had photos the day after the episode aired. Now that a statement 1) about the subject 2) that there was really any publicity shots taken from the show.

Well she was only signed for 4 episodes....but you would think that they (the other CSI) would have commented on her being transferred to another shift or because she was on swing and not on the all important night shift that she became invisible and not worth talking about. I wasn't a Ronnie fan but I've come to realize that new blood on the show wasn't a bad idea just not as a main cast addition as a secondary player alright, remember Greg started off as a secondary player and worked his way up, thats how the should have done it with Ronnie.

| csi_fan_4_ever | Did Jorja Fox get fired? or does she really want to "explore?" | 1 | Nov 21 2007, 1:34 PM EST by ilovecsi91 | ||||

Jorja Fox is waving goodbye to ''CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.'' Fox, 39, tells EW.com she has quit the Las Vegas-based forensics drama, saying she wants to explore other opportunities.
''There are all these things I want to do,'' she said in a story posted Monday on the Web site. ''Some are personal. Some are professional. And I really need to do some of them before I get too old.'' Fox has wrapped up filming on the hit CBS series, and will make her last appearance as Sara Sidle in an episode to air next month, according to the Web site. CBS publicist Kate Fisher had no comment Tuesday. Fox's run on ''CSI'' nearly ended in 2004 when she and co-star George Eads were fired during tense contract negotiations. They were later hired back. ''If I thought the show were on its last legs, I would have tried harder to stay the course,'' said Fox, whose contract expired in May. ''But I feel like it's going to be around for a while, so if I don't want some of those dreams to pass me by, I have to get off the ride for a while.'' Fox has been a cast member since ''CSI'' premiered in 2000. Is this really true that she wants to just explore new options? I don't know what to think anymore! Some people say that she got fired, but others say that she just wants to do new things before she gets too old! WHAT DO YOU THINK???

Just wondering - Greg says he 'knew' about Grissom and Sarah during his chit chat with Nick in A La Cart as they clear the scene. Grissom is not far ahead of them on the road whilst Sarah is being 'interviewed' by Eckle.
I must have completely missed that - anyone can help me and point out if/when it was obvious that he knew? Or is it a little labyrinth background to the whole Sarah-Grissom relationship? Thanks xx

From what I've read several of Sara enemies and antagonist are return during season 8. I don't know if it the next episode "Carp" but the hooker "Divine" is suppose to be back remember her from "No Humans Involved" I hated her so much for what (I know she just a Character) she did to those boys. Then Hannah and Marlon are suppose to be coming back also Hannah little girl genius IQ takes the blame for older brother kill a girl. She pulled the wool over Sara and Nicks eyes. I wonder what the writers have up their sleeve for Sara bring back these characters but it should be interesting.

(Note: please read "'Dead Doll'--NOT DEAD YET!!! Post One of Two" before reading this post.) WOO-HOO FOR WALLACE LANGHAM! He's made it to the opening credits! Did you all hear Sara call Grissom "Gilbert" while they were together on the phone? Of COURSE you did! Sweeeeeeeeet! :) Did you see that totally weird straw hat Cath was wearing (briefly!) in one of the desert scenes? I figure it was either comic relief, or that MH lost the same bet with wardrobe that WP had regarding his straw hat! (Disclaimer: I really am just kidding around about all this hat business; I don’t intend any disrespect towards Mr. P., Ms. H., or their straw hats. Please don’t sue. Thank you.) As for the preview of the next episode, I had tried to suggest to you folks on the Wiki who were calling for Ecklie's head that we needed to keep him around for the reveal. Talk about material! However things fall with Ecklie’s individual "interactions" with Grissom and Sara, we're all in for a heck of a ride: "Tune in next week when Poor Ecklie becomes all a-fluster when it is revealed to him that Grissom and Sara are in all actuality ‘GRISSOM & SARA!!!’ :) + :) " When answering Ecklie’s question, Grissom conveys that he's been "intimate" with Sara since they met (nine years ago). It’s pretty obvious that Our Guy has a rather PROFOUND definition of "intimacy" (as if ALL OF US didn’t already KNOW THAT, and we wouldn’t want him any other way!) In conclusion, thank God for great writing, acting, directing, producing, for SS/JF, GG/WP, and most especially for UNDERSTANDING HUSBANDS like mine, UPS Guy :) !! I'm sure I'll think of 50 more things, but for now, it’s good night, folks! - MathGal ("Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…") P.S. Just in case anyone is wondering: I STILL HATE RED MUSTANGS!

If its out in the open Grissom gets fired and Sara gets moved!!!! I want sara to live, but I don't see everyone getting the happy ending they wanted, Jorja could still be leaving the show, but at least alive!

During this fabulous Season Eight Premier, I kept saying, "Oh, this can't be good, oh, this can't be good..." By the time the EMTs proclaimed that they couldn't get Sara's pulse I was TOTAL WRECK! After the show ended, I told my hubby, UPS Guy, "It's a good thing I got my hair dyed today (I'm over 99% grey, so I dye it medium brown, which is the color it used to be), because I think I'VE GONE ENTIRELY BACK TO GREY DURING THE LAST HOUR!" YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! :) I'M SO HAPPY SARA'S ALIVE! So now, even if she eventually does "leave :( :( :( " and/or even if they do eventually "break up :( :( :( ," at least we got to see that lovely, beautiful, rescue helicopter scene; WOW, what a connection. No kiss, not even WORDS, "just" a handhold and a mind and spirit connection that would knock anyone's socks off who had half a heart and soul. What an amazing performance by Ms. Jorja Fox. Even Dancing Girl (my daughter, who normally doesn’t watch CSI -- she’s a LOST fan) was impressed (and she’s quite the critic, let me tell you!) YEAH! MATH PROBLEMS! Not that I'm prejudiced, hahahaha! What better way for Sara to keep her mental focus when EVERYTHING is working against her. Sara utilizes her quantitative skills to keep her mind as sharp and focused as possible through impossible circumstances. She understands that this is one big problem solving session, from the moment of her abduction to the helicopter ride to the hospital with My Thursday Night TV Sweetheart--oops, I mean HER SWEETHEART :) ! HURRAY FOR NICKY! He found our gal Sara! (Please continue to the post "'Dead Doll'--NOT DEAD YET Post Two of Two" for the conclusion of this message.) Thank you, - MG :)
