It's about time someone around here appreciates Nick and not just Grissom!...I wonder what will happen to him in this season...I mean, something bad (life-threatening bad) usually happens to him every season...maybe he'll get kidnapped again...

I won't hesitate to agree that when it comes to emotions, especially pain- GE is far better than any of the others. Need proof? Just watch Grave Danger. The episode pulled in over 30 million viewers I do believe, and it's thought of by many many people to be the best episode of CSI. His performance was just incredible.
He was also great in Gum Drops, and I just loved the determination he had to save Cassie (the little girl). It was a great episode, and I think the show could use a few more with that depth to them. It was great.
As for the torture... eh- I wouldn't mind seeing his life put in jeopardy sometime in the future, but I think the current season needs to stay well away from that sort of thing this season. After Grave Danger that was sort of their recurring theme- first Brass, then Lindsey/Sam/Catherine, then Greg, then Sara- it's just been too much, and I hope they lay off it for at least one full season. Meanwhile, they should just try to find a way to give the guy some more continuity on the show after Grave Danger.
