I hated Sofia from the start. Anyone who'd worked with Ecklie for so long couldn't be trusted! And when she said she wanted to leave the lab.... oh, please. She was obviously bluffing in order to get a reaction from Grissom. At least Sara had the guts to go and fill a leave of absence form! Also, I didn't like the attention she received. Too many lines were wasted on her on season 5!

Why is everyone hating on Sofia? She has pretty much done the right thing the entire time she's been on the show. So what she worked for Ecklie, she was also demoted by Ecklie. What do you think they planned they whole thing? She would gain Grissom's trust and then ruin him or something? Do you think she is some sort of evil backstabbing spy?
I agree that she and Grissom are not for each other, but, they can still be friends right? Or is Grissom forrbidden to talk to her now that he and Sarah are officially an "item." That's just crazy. I personally like Sofia. I think she is one of the characters who brighten up CSI alittle. And I don't agree that she was throwing herself at Grissom. So Thats my two cents.

I don't think they would make a good couple,
they work on different levels and have completely different thought. |

This (2 post; please read both before jumping at a conclusin) comment is made for the person who wrote the Grissom belongs with Sara, but I wanted the rest of the Sofia haters to read it as well.
Chemistry: ( the word does not only refer to comatibility in a sexual way) The elements of a complex entity and their dynamic interrelation: "Now that they had a leader, a restless chemistry possessed the group" (John Updike). Mutual attraction or sympathy; rapport: The chemistry was good between the partners. Rapport: Relationship, especially one of mutual trust or emotional affinity. ( now there is a big or in there, which means that Sofia's chemistry {which does not have to be of a sexual nature} with Gil can be of a simple trust of one another, and their ability to preform there job, and get there back in such. It does not always have to mean the interactions of a man and woman while that woman is on her back)

i agree with all the previous comments. they should NOT BE TOGETHER!! grissom and sara may not be opposites, but...opposites don't alwasy attract. grissom and sara know what the other is going through, they understand each other, and sara is really the only person that grissom and truly confide in, at least latley, except catherine, and she's more like a sister. Gris and Sophia though...YUCK!! i think he is intrigued by her, maybe mildly attracted, but not romance, she doesn't understand him, and he is definelty not challenged by her. i don't think there could ever be love, EVER!! grissom and sara each had to grow up emotionaly before it could work, and now that they are...more mature...emotianlly, their relationship can work...but Grissom and Sophia...no chemistry. it would never, ever work.

I'll give Catherine her due. She never did that with Grissom. I think Grissom was flattered by Sofia's flirts, but she never moved him. It was so easy for Grissom to ask her to dinner, the way he can tell Catherine that he misses her tush, or the way he can flirt with Lady Heather. I understand the feeling. When you don't feel anything for someone, flirting is fun and easy. With Sara however, it's been a different story. Grissom never took his relationship with Sara lightly. His eyes said something that his actions didn't support. His feelings for Sara were never to be taken lightly and even if he didn't completely understand why, his instincts told him to tread carefully.
Sofia is a nice idea for fans who don't like Sara. But is she to be taken seriously as a potential life partner for Grissom? No.

No, No, No. They don't have no chemistry whatsoever. I preferred him either with Catherine or Sara. Nick with Sofia, I don't think so, they also don't have no chemistry whatsoever. I preferred Nick with Sara also.
I don't hate Sofia, she is not my favorite. I think she has chemistry with Brass then she does with the other. I'm thinking about put Brass with Sofia.

No, no, no---NO!! They have no chemistry... she has a bad attitude, she wants to be in control, she distracts him at crime scenes by running her mouth...it's obvious Griss never felt threatened or challenged by her in any way... he wasn't afraid to ask her to dinner, because his interest in her was (as is the norm for Dr. Grissom) purely the "I am interested in what makes you tick" thing. Sara, on the other hand, scares the hell out of him, because he has feelings for her, and has been fighting them for years. His insecurties about their age difference, his (at that time) potential hearing loss, and the chances of a relationship being discovered by their co-workers and "Mr. Warm & Fuzzy " ass kissing Ecklie all culminated in his holding her at bay... his loss of control over his feelings only manifesting themselves infrequently... double entendres, and flat out compliments that he couldn't seem to keep to himself. Personally, I don't think Sofia ever had a chance--and I, too, am glad the writers saw it that way.

I agree, they have terrible on-screen chemistry! It would be painful to watch them hook-up. Sara is the love of his life!

SO glad that this ended. Grissom always looked like he was interacting with a sock puppet with all the chemistry they had. Louise deserves a better role - she's a great actress, but this really wasn't her gig.

How is this even a possible pairing? They never had any chemistry, and luckily, the writers quickly realized it.

Boring romance, boring chemistry, boring character.
You could see the strings in every single scene they did together. "Here is the part where we flirt". So orchestrated, so dull. |
