I think Doc Ray is a widower. When he went to visit D&J killer version1 he had an emotionally had time removing his wedding band before going into the interview room.
I think he's going to have a hard time adjusting to the hours at CSI, the fact that you don't take sides; it;s the evidence you follow not who is the victim or who is being victimized. I think he's going to have problems with Riley because of her poor relationship with her Shrink parents. Doc Ray being a Doctor and a Professor might trigger some deep seated issues for Riley and she might take her frustrations out on Doc Ray. Also, he'll have trouble dealing with her lack of sympathy toward people who are victimized by people in authority. Like the boy who's father smacked him when they found the stolen goods from Ray first burglary case. When Ray stood up to the father Riley made him back down and she appologized for Ray (she should have backed Ray up). |
