Spoiler: According to CBS Jorja Fox will make a return as CSI Sara Sidle and will be part of the season premiere and other episodes. Viewers will find out where life has taken Sara and what brings her back to the CSI team. Season premiere to air September 24 at 9pm.
Spoiler: Spoiler: Jorja Fox is back but don't take it as her and grissom splitting up. Naren Shankar was adament that "They are definately still together" even though Sara hints that there is a little trouble in paradise, but its because they are starting a new life together and it takes a few months to get used to it. Anyways.... Sara will help the Supervisor Catherine Willows out by helping her learn how to make the team a family again. The theme to Season 10 is family and the CSI's will come together to become a better one. (keep in mind that i paraphrased much of this because i was too lazy to go find my entertainment magazine because its across town at my friends house)
Spoiler: This article is from the following website: http://www.buddytv.com/articles/csi/csi-sara-and-grissom-absolutel-30369.aspx CSI: Sara and Grissom "Absolutely Ended Up Together" Wednesday, July 29, 2009 Executive producers Carol Mendelsohn and Naren Shankar talked to Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello, and discussed a little bit more about Sara Sidle's return to the Las Vegas lab for the tenth season of the crime drama. And, well, it does clear a few things up. Minor spoilers are up ahead, so if you don't want them, then stay away. The first thing they clarified is that Fox's return is not a reaction to slumping ratings--it wasn't much of a decrease, considering it was a very tumultuous year for CSI last year, but it's still a decrease. "It actually emanated from Naren and I," Mendelsohn said. "It's a tough time for everybody in TV. We don't feel [it's fair] to single out CSI." "We had several major characters departing over the last year and a half, and it felt like the family had disintegrated a little bit," Shankar added. "That suggested a theme for this season, which is really about family. We wanted to restore that balance of the family. And that initial creative impulse led to the notion of Jorja coming back and helping to assist with that." The tenth season begins two and a half months from the events of the ninth season finale--the one where Langston finally kills someone--and sees Sara entering because, as we already know, the Las Vegas lab needs an extra pair of hands. "One of our characters reaches out to her and brings her back in, unbeknownst to the other guys," Shankar said. "Sara comes in and brings everyone together," Mendelsohn added. "She helps Catherine understand that as the [new] leader, she needs to make the team cohesive and really fire on all cylinders again." And, of course, her return for five non-consecutive episodes would dabble on what's happened to her and to Grissom since the events of seasons past. "They absolutely ended up together," Shankar stressed. "Grissom is referenced in [Fox's first] episode. You'll get a sense of the good and the bad of the two of them actually being together for real. [We're] talking about a couple of very independent individuals who have decided to share their life together." "And you have to admit that Sara and Grissom had a unique courtship," Mendelsohn added. "It [makes sense] that their further relationship would also be unique." In other words, they did not break up. Perhaps most importantly, they're tight-lipped about whether William Petersen will reprise his Grissom role at any point in this season. "The theme of the season is family," Mendelsohn said. "And he certainly is part of the family--a big part of the family ... We're certainly open to [his return[, but no, there are no concrete plans." SPOILER 2 http://www.buddytv.com/articles/csi/csi-sara-gets-five-episodes-as-30312.aspx?pollid=500000434answer=500001485#poll500000434 I guess people didn't really warm to Riley Adams after all. Lauren Lee Smith is not going to be back for the tenth season of CSI, executive producer Naren Shankar told TV Guide Magazine. And, much like the departure of Kim Delaney on her first season in CSI: Miami, it's because the character just wasn't working well as everyone had expected. "It was an issue of how we were feeling the ensemble was working," Shankar said. "When we brought in the character of Riley, it got lost in the shuffle a little bit because we had lost Warrick, we had lost Sara, and then in the middle of last season Grissom finally left. I think, as a result, the character never quite found its footing in terms of the rest of the gang." And, perhaps, the fact that some CSI fans never really warmed to her, at least as a replacement for Jorja Fox, who left the show in the eighth season. Well, that's moot, then, as Fox's returning to the show for, according to Shankar, at least five episodes. "She shows up because the team is understaffed," he said. "The undersheriff reaches out for a recommendation and Sara says, 'I think that person might be me.'" "The team has had a rough year--there has been a lot going on--and so Sara comes back mostly just to see if she can help for a while, because she loves those guys and she misses them," Fox told the magazine in a separate interview. Her five-episode stint is expected to address why she returns to the Las Vegas team--it's been revealed before that she'll be dealing with another serial killer--and all those questions about what happened between her and Grissom. "That will hopefully be a reveal in the premiere," Fox said. "They've prevented me from discussing Grissom at all." While it's not sure whether she's going to stay, Shankar promises that fans will be in for a treat. "We're going to spotlight her for the episodes that she'll be in," he promises. Well, you get some, you lose some. Or, I guess Riley wasn't so lucky after all...
Spoiler: Jorja Fox returning to 'CSI' LOS ANGELES (AP) — Sara Sidle is coming back to CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Actress Jorja Fox, who left the CBS crime drama as a regular two years ago, will return as Sara for the 10th-season debut and other episodes, CBS said Friday. "We're thrilled for Jorja's return to 'CSI,"' said executive producer Carol Mendelsohn, adding that viewers will "discover where life has taken Sara Sidle and what brings her back to the CSI team in Las Vegas in our premiere episode." The show returns Sept. 24. Fox, part of CSI since the show started, left during its eighth year. She was seen briefly last season, including one episode in which her character reunited with ex-colleague and romantic interest Gil Grissom, played by William Petersen.
Spoiler: See Also: 'One To Go' Episode Guide Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) will return to CSI: Crime Scene Investigation during the upcoming tenth season. As CSI Files previously reported, Fox will appear in at least five episodes during season ten. Her return coincides with the departure of Lauren Lee Smith's Riley Adams. "Right around March, I felt really rested and was itching to work—I was ready and going to meetings and auditioning," Fox told TV Guide Magazine. While filming a guest spot on the new Lifetime drama Drop Dead Diva, she was contacted about returning to her old stomping grounds. "I got the call about CSI—it was completely out of the blue!" The actress explained. "I never thought I'd be going back to work with people that I knew, I thought I'd be starting new things. That was a surprise, so I'm going back to work and it's with the same people who I've worked with for eight years in the past. [Laughs] I was thrilled! For me it was a huge compliment!" The actress has already started filming for season ten, and she said she is enjoying the experience. "It has just been a ball and a half," Fox shared. "I think CSI's premiere episode is one of the best that I've ever read. It's a pleasant surprise. You think, 'They're starting Season 10—how is it going to be as good as it was last year or four years ago?' And they blew me away." Fox was tight-lipped about her return. "I think all I can really say is [pause] the team has had a rough year—there has been a lot going on—and so Sara comes back mostly just to see if she can help for a while, because she loves those guys and she misses them," the actress said. She had even less to say about Gil Grissom (William Petersen), who reunited with Sara in the jungle at the end of his final episode in season nine, "One to Go". "They've prevented me from discussing Grissom at all," she said, adding that Grissom's whereabouts will be revealed in the season premiere. "We hope we've picked the right stuff to be a surprise." Executive producer Naren Shankar said Sara's return without Grissom does not mean the pair have split up. "They're absolutely together," he told Entertainment Weekly. However, the relationship may be going through a rough period. "We're talking about a couple of very independent individuals who have decided to share their life together," Shankar explained. "The first few months of that for any couple are a weird adjustment."

We don't know yet if these characters from the past are in any way related to this season's serial killer arc - with a Jekyll & Hyde theme, the first time the storyline is introduced to us and the team is at the end of the Season 10 Premiere - Family Affair (the title of the episode sets the theme for the season, which is about bringing the "CSI Family" back together, and bringing back the family feel that has been lost over the last 2 years) - more to be revealed soon. |

Spoiler: Is there any scoop for Greg on CSI? We've heard something about everyone else but him. — Janelle ADAM: Interestingly, Janelle, Greg shares your frustration about being overlooked. Executive producer Naren Shankar tells me that he'll get to gripe about his role on the team when Sara (Jorja Fox) comes to visit. Even better, Shankar says his complaining will pay off: He'll get a new job
Spoiler: This long-distance marriage thing seems to be working for Grissom and Sara on CSI. Exec producer Carol Mendelsohn confirms to me exclusively that Jorja Fox’s five-episode comeback has been extended indefinitely. “We will be seeing a lot more of Jorja,” says Mendelsohn. “The season is about bringing the [CSI] family back together again, so [this] was just a natural. Jorja has been the glue that has really helped to reform the bond of our team.” The exact number of episodes that Fox will appear in is still being worked out, but Mendelsohn says it’s substantially more than five. “From our point of view, the more the better,” she says. “As many episodes as we can have Jorja for we want her for.” Despite the extension, Mendelsohn says there are no current plans for Grissom (William Petersen) to join his wife in Las Vegas. Upcoming episodes will shed light on the couple’s unconventional living arrangement. “We will address the fact that Grissom is somewhere else and Sara is living in Vegas,” she reveals. “Everyone on the team is a little interested. They’re like, ‘What’s the deal? Grissom’s there, you’re here, how does that work?’ “They are a very modern couple and they have a very healthy relationship,” Mendelsohn elaborates. “They have found a balance in their life that allows them to still feel fulfilled in their marriage and their careers. If it works for them, it works for us.”

I have serious doubts that Grissom has financial difficulties. In the 8 1/2 years he was on the show Grissom never talked about money but he came accross as if he never had money issues. Example: he and Sara were discussing college textbooks, Sara made the comment about how the selling of textbooks back to the college was such a scam; Grissom state why would anyone sell their textbooks back to the college. Obviously he didn't need a scholorship to go to college. Or the time when all they had was a grainy Video of someone (Ernie Dell it turned out to be) delivering a package to a murder victims house. The lab didn't have the cash to buy the software that could clean up the video so that they could find out who the guy was. Grissom went out and bought it. I know there's a recession and all but Grissom seems to be a cool custmer when it comes to everything I think his 401K and private savings are alright.
Sara on the other hand might not have a massive nest egg but over the 7 1/2 years that we saw her she never came across as a person who wasted or threw around money. I always thought that she was the type of person the casinos hated never gambles, never parties hardy and never shops at the boutiques that charge you for just looking. So I think she might have saved most of her pay cheques. We also don't know what she might have inherited from her father; who knows maybe he was a millionaire record producer who never let his family know that he was loaded. (Nah not likely) I think Sara's back to help her friends get back on track; she's good at what she does and will help out anytime she is asked. So will Grissom, a guy with that much experience would be in demand where ever he goes.
