Grissom is supposely scheduled to leave the show instead of resigning himself for Season Nine, they think hes being replaced by emmy-nominated winner/actor George Clooney! Maybe he would have interesting facts and skills to have prepared the same interests but different ways of communication we'll wait and see if he signs the contract that Gris confirms for his permission.

Check it out - news item just added. CBS has hired a new actress to replace Jorja Fox. The information is posted above. TV Guide's Ausiello is reporting per CBS that actress Lauren Lee Smith has been hired to fill the void left by actress Jorja Fox on the graveyard shift.

USA Today reports that Marg Helgenberger has inked a new contract with CSI for two more years. That, coupled with William Petersen's signing a new deal in April, means that CSI is in good shape for the foreseeable future. CBS should be doing the happy-dance.
Helgenberger is a wonderful actress -- an Emmy-winner for China Beach (and an Emmy nominee for CSI) -- and she brings a lot to the plot-driven show. Her character, Catherine Willows, has a good back story and when given the opportunity, amid the bizarre murders and strange cases, Willows' personal issues make for good drama. She also has a connection with Grissom (Petersen) and is one of the few characters who can really question him or talk back. Put it this way: if Willows were to leave the show, there'd be a huge hole to fill.

ok first of all george cloony is a good actor he would never be able to fill william petersens shoes in CSI, if petersen leaves thats it for csi ratings will drop majorly, and wit sarah gone ratings have dropped a little and all this news of her coming back and maybe not is driving me insane they should at least show us whats gonna happen wit gil and her before they say thats it. and news is shes having a baby thast why she left. so i really hope they BOTH come back for season 9

Have you heard about Eric Szmanda, Jorja Fox, and Wally Langham's involvement in a new campaign called Burma: It Can't wait? These CSI stars have graciously lent their voices for REALLY amazing short film spots for this campaign (launched by Fanista.com, US Campaign for Burma and the Human Rights Action Center). The spots went live last week. We, at Fanista, are trying to raise awareness of the atrocities going down in Burma (70,000 child soldiers, 2x more villages burned than in Darfur, torture and massacre of monks, systematic rape – and that was before the recent cyclone, which has left at least 62,000 pp dead or missing.)
