I've waited, since she showed up in the third episode, for her to make a positive impression on me; and she did in the finale. She sucks, she is a waste of space and time, she needs to leave. I have nothing against the actress Lauren Lee Smith; I'm sure if I saw her in another show I might enjoy her acting style but on CSI she is as I've said before a waste of space. Fill the void with Wendy, we know Wendy and most of us like her style and the way she interacts with our crew.

"I've decided that this was a hugh mistake by the writers, how the hell did she ever get into show-biz.. yawn-yawn.. She has no personailty, I just re-watched a re-run and she drags down the rest ot the sparkling exceptional cast..I hoppe they let her go, and we get someone like for instance Kyra Sedgwick on "THE CLOSER" now she's exciting.. my opinion~" I've never seen The Closer but I've seen her in other roles and I like her. But I think they need to stay away from big-name stars. There's just too many pre-formed notions about a big-name actor to come into an ensemble cast like this. I didn't LF in any of his films and I don't like him here. I admit that part of the reason I don't like him now may be that I didn't like him in his other roles. That and the fact that everything seemed to center around him. Even BP's last couple episodes were already so focused on him that I felt we were jipped out of a decent farewell with Grissom (not saying there should've been a lot of hugs and tearful good-byes b/c that's just not Grissom but we should've been just able to focus exclusively on Grissom for the last couple epis)

I took a brief review of season 9 as well, and I also won't be purchasing it when it's released. I really wish the writers and producers would take the fan base's opinions seriously. From what I see a great number of us are very unhappy about the direction things are taking. Oh, I have certianly come to grips with the fact that three of the major characters are gone. But in my opinion, the powers that be have done a great disservice by trying to cram Doc Ray down our throats. Thay have also disrespected the actors that brought the show to the point of being a top rated program. I was saddened by the exit of Warrick Brown. Surely, if the actor was having a difficult period and needed time off, the character could have been written out for a season with various references to his absence. Same for Grissom and Sara. The characters could have been kept active through telephone calls, emails, letters; at least for a while until the sting of thier departure wore off. But was there really a need to get a "high profile" actor immediately? Did the producers thing that would lessen our feelings of loss? If anything, I think the way they handled things only alienated many more. It would have been nice to see the regular cast characters expand a little more with some really good story lines and a few great guest appearances. I think Brass, Catherine, Nick and Greg could have done just as well without Doc Ray taking over every moment of the show. Hell...why don't the producers just get it over with and rename the show "Doc Ray- All Knowing Super Being" because that's what it seems to have become.

"It would seem to me that Doc Ray and Riley have pulled the gun more so far than all the other CSI people have in the past episodes. Are they CSI investigators or part of the police department? I'm confused. Now I know Sophia was a lawofficer, turned CSI, turned lawofficer (again)...but was Doc Ray ever a cop? was Riley ever a cop? They look far too comfortable and eager to aim a gun...makes me wonder where Brass and his guys are. In prior seasons the police always cleared the scene before the CSI crew was even able to approach. Oh, wait...that's right...were're talking about Doc Ray...He IS the police AND the judge AND the jury AND the Medical examiner and the head of the CSI unit AND the Mayor of Las Vegas all roled up into one. (pardon me) " To my mind this was the first time I saw Doc Ray with a gun. Riley on the other hand has a thing about gun's. When she join the team she was handed all the manuals, Id and stuff and the only comment she made was "What no gun". I think the Riley was a cop in St Louis then went became a CSI. In "Say Uncle" she was ready to blast the little old lady who pulled a gun on them when they were looking for the little boy and she definately wanted to shoot in the pit when they found him even those he looked like he would die before he could pull a guns trigger. I thought it was strange that after the cop injured himself that he let Riley and Ray go after him like you said all the time previously Brass and the cops cleared a scene before they let the CSI's in. Maybe it was just for damatic effect; they didn't want to lose the suspect so they let Riley and Ray chase him.

Unfortunately someone sent out a blast message with all the finale episode titles for season 9. I thought they were real. :( I do rather prefer this title "Stokes on Duty" thought...it's rather catchy and what better than a great episode on Nick!
