"My first thought as the show ended was "I smell story arc!" Dean's gonna come back at her when Catherine least expects it.
I felt so bad for the little girl's family; both her fathers loved her. She got in that cabinet, knocked over the chemicals, then hit her head on the pipe when she either passed out or went into convulsions. I can understand the stepfather's distrust of the system, him being an ex-con, but THE TAKING THE BUS!? Didn't they have a phone? I would have been kicking peoples' doors in to get to a phone. Screaming in the street. Even getting a 5150 call would have brought the cops in. And the mother get shot when the glass breaks. Nobody came out on top in this episode.
Despite (or because of) the really sad ending, this was one of the best written episodes. Criminal Minds has been coming up with Grade A shows also. Maybe the writers strike did some good, sorta refreshed their minds, got the creative juices flowing." Nighthorn, Thank you for your excellent post. - mg :)
