Episode #166
Episode #166
Season 7 Finale
Plot of primary crime:
In their search for the Miniature Killer, Grissom and Sara go the apartment of one of Ernie Dell's foster sons, only to find the man dead in his bathroom.
Victim: Trevor Dell
Path of evidence: Crack in sink. Outlets. Next-Door Neighbor.
Dead ends:
Plot of secondary crime:
Grissom finds a miniature of a wrecked car on top of Sara, who has apparently been abducted by the Miniature Killer.
Victim: Sara Sidle
Path of evidence: Miniature Crime Scenes. Ernie Dell. Trevor Dell. Miniature of Trevor with female DNA on it. Adoption records. Natalie Davis.
Dead ends: Natalie Davis starts to lose herself as Grissom questions her.
Mini Recap (feel free to edit /add to it):
Natalie is the killer and works at CSI as the janitor. During the episode you see her making the mini of Sara and we know how she got the car she sticks Sara under at the end (they were right about it). She got the car from a case Sara and Grissom worked on 6 weeks ago (we never see the case but we get flashbacks) and Natalie saw Grissom take a camera from Sara and stroke her arm as he does it. That's how she knows about their relationship. There is another case going on during the hunt for the mini killer but it's not as interesting as the mini killer one. I can't go though it all because of homework, but at one point Natalie brings the mini of Sara under the car in the desert and then it flashes to Natalie hiding behind a car in the CSI parking lot, and Sara coming out to put her stuff in the trunk of her car and going home. Natalie says "Sara?" and attacks Sara (they never say anything about Sara going to San Francisco). Then Grissom goes to his office and finds the mini and freaks, he calls Sara but she's gone. They catch Natalie but she won't tell Grissom where Sara is and Grissom panics. They show Sara at the end in the dessert under the car in the rain trying to pull her way out. Then it goes black and says "TO BE CONTINUED" (AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!)
Oh, and when everyone is looking at the mini trying to find Sara, Grissom says: "This girl holds me responsible for the death of Ernie Dell. I took away the only person she ever loved, now she's doing the same to me." (Greg, Nick, Warrick and Cath are all with him - also note the look Greg gives Nick, and Nick's reaction) .
I agree with what you said because I just can't wait until they show the season premiere. I am going to be tortured until they show it. I hope that they let Sara live. She is the best thing that has happened to Grissom.
She's also best thing that has happened to the show.
Grissom and Sara's relationship is too good for the show. It would be crazy to let so many devoted watchers down.
I say Sara will live.
A few minutes later...
Best cringe-inducing scenes:
Natalie is reciting the song her father sang, rocking back and forth. Grissom becomes frustrated and shakes her, demanding that she answers him. "Where is Sara?!"
Meanwhile rain falls down, the scene closes in on a wrecked car in the middle of the desert, a hand sticking out from underneath. Sara's hand moves, grasping the wet dirt.
Classic quips:
Aha! moments:
Natalie slashes Grissom's throat, but it turns out to just be in Natalie's head. This scene becomes specially creepy when we notice that she may have hit his carotid artery.
Romantic moments?
Grissom: "This girl holds me responsible for the death of Ernie Dell. I took away the only person she ever loved, so she's going to do the same thing to me."
Guest stars:
- Victoria Prescott (Judy Tremont)
- Jay Johnson (The Great Rainore)
- Gina Hecht (Donna Wetzel)
- Tessa Germaine (Little Girl)
- Dustin Cyril Robles (World Send Guy)
- Sean Bridgers (Art Schuster)
- Meagan Fay (Rochelle Dorley)
- Tahmus Rounds (Manager)
- Jessica Collins (Natalie)
- Brendan Fletcher (Lionel Dell)
- Dayton Callie (Ernie Edward Dell).
Summary:
As the CSI's continue their search for and discover the identity of the "Miniature Killer", Grissom and Sara's relationship gets exposed to the rest of the team as she goes missing during the investigation. The "Miniature Killer" is finally captured, but not before a member of CSI becomes the killer's final victim.

Did anyone notice or recognize the drawing that Natalie was working on while waiting for her interview? It seemed to be someone wearing glasses...

Just finished watching this episode on TV. Without ruining it, the NBC people lied IMO.

I've noticed several things about "Living Doll":
1) Grissom said Natalie didn't have a driver's license, so she had to have help getting the car to the desert (probably her foster brother who was found dead at the beginning - she gave him the mini doll of him as thanks to add to his heroes action figures collection) and getting Sara to the car (the brother had been dead at least 12 days, so it wasn't him - maybe her real father? He's nuts and feels guilty.). They can use her transportation situation as a starting point for finding Sara. 2) I agree with some of the rest of you. They DIDN'T SHOW Sara herself getting abducted or a good shot of her face under the car!! Was she the one who was abducted? 3) Before Grissom interogated Natalie, they showed a shot of the thunderstorm in the mountains outside of Vegas. That probably means the victim is fairly close by. 4) The rain may be a good thing. It will loosen the desert dirt (which we know is very hard-packed from the episode with the "Alien" wedding minister) enough for the victim to try to dig her way out, or at least reposition herself to get more comfortable. |

NOTE- THIS IS WHAT I THINK MIGHT HAPPEN, THIS MAY OR MAY NOT BE TRUE!!!!!!!
Natlie stalks Grissom/Sara ,so she has proof of their relationship (most likely a picture). She shows it to Sara and when Sara grabs it from Natalie ,Natlie grabs Sara's gun. Natlie puts Sara in the trunk of her (or her helper's) car and frives her back to her (Sara's) house. She re-dresses Sara and leaves the bloody gun in plain sight. Natlie puts Sara back into the trunk and drives 20-30 minutes out in the desert to the wrecked car. Natlie wakes Sara upand shoves her under the car and Sara is like "What are you doing?". Natlie lets the car afll on Sara (sombodey was there to help Natlie with the car. I think it may be Lady Heather (from Slaves of Las Vegas (Season 2) because she thinks Sara took Grissom from her (remember when Grissom stayed the night at Lady Heather's in The Good , the Bad ,the Dominatrix?)) Then Natlie turns and watches Sara struugle as her arm saps (See CSI Season 8 Promo 2 video). Natlie watches for about a minute and then Sara satrs begging. then Natlie leaves and drives back into the city where Nick and Warricik catch up with her. All of this happened in about an hour and a half (5-10 minutes of the show). I did the math it took about 10-20 minutes to bang her in the head get her house and re-dress her. It took another 20-30 minutes to get out to the car (the one in the desert). It took about 10 -20 minutes to lift up the car wake up Sara and shove her under the car. So Sara is no more than 30 minutes away from the end of the strip, out in the desert. Sara has a broken arm and possibly a sprained anckle from the other side of the car and mabye a concussion from the butt of the gun. |

She's a good CSI. I don't want to see her die. Everyone gets along with Sara, it would be terrible if Sara wasn't around the Crime Lab.
