After Catherine awakes in a strange motel room with no memory of how she got there, she runs a rape kit on herself and confides in Sara to take prints from the motel room. Her father shows up at the lab unexpectedly and asks her to have dinner. Later, she and Lindsey are in a car accident, and Lindsey is kidnapped. Catherine comes to find that her earlier abduction and Lindsey's kidnapping is tied to someone blackmailing her father. Sara and Gil pour over the tiny miniature doll house replica of their latest crime scene (from Built to Kill Pt. 1). Even the blood pool is a perfect re-creation, featuring real blood from the victim to match the full-sized version. The house belongs to Izzy Delancy, and the suspects at the scene are the nanny, Izzy's wife Madeline, and Sven, Izzy's son., and Izzy's ex-wife, who has a hard time coming up with an alibi.

DNA Evidence: DNA evidence shows that Annie and Izzy were sleeping together. The blood found in the miniature was a match to the victims. No blood spatter indicates only one blow was the kill shot. Blood found on kitchen drawer. blood found on the rolling pin in the drawer.
Fingerprint Evidence: [Add Info] None found at the scene or in the miniature
Toxicology Evidence: [Add Info] NA
Trace Evidence: The rolling pin's blood stains indicate that it is the murder weapon. No fingerprints found at the scene or in the miniature. Real blood used in the miniature match to the vic. No blood spatter indicates only one blow. Dr. Robbins extracts a key to izzy's safe from his stomach. Grissom found a bottle of bleach in the trash of both the crime scene and the miniature. Bleach was used in the kitchen but not to clean up blood. No hair or fibers found at the scene or in the miniature. All the material found in the miniature can be found in all hobby shops.
Questionable Document Evidence: Gil uses various magnifiers to examine each detail on the miniature replica of the murder scene, and he finds an image pasted on the back of one of the tiny portraits of Izzy. The picture is of a dead doll, the Miniature Killer's signature. Dusty has perfectly rendered architectural drawings on her desk, which she attributes to her son, Sven. Olympia Hotel contract found in the safe. the csi's discovered Dusty "Izzy's first wife" and Izzy were never legally married.

I was inside the hotel "The Plaza" as a guest. The Plaza's front lot was used to shoot the scene where Sam gets shot. I just thought that it was really cool to get to watch them while they filmed this through windows of The Plaza that you see behind Sam and Catherine....not gonna lie it was pretty cool

I just watched this episode a couple of days ago and I cried so hard. Usually, Catherine is very strong, but seeing her break down was real heart breaking. Even though I didn't really like Sam Braun, I was still very sad when he was shot in the end.

There was some fantastic acting in this episode. Especially Catherine, with her family being targeted and everything. A great episode.
