| Hodges identifies trace evidence of foam that is used in floral arrangements on the Jane Doe's clothing. | Warrick finds sesame seeds in the cone of the gun. | Hodges and Warrick spray Robert's oven mitt with ferrotrace. | Sofia and Gil are called to a murder scene that is an exact replica of a scene found in a doll house in that same room. |
Plot of primary crime:
At the Cirque du Soleil, a Jane Doe is found in the "crush zone" under the stage, but unfortunately, the body is transported immediately by the stage manager before Catherine and Gil arrive.
Victim: Jane Doe
Path of evidence:
- Doc Robbins finds out that Jane Doe has some linear abrasions across her chest and back, as well as numerous broken ribs from being crushed.
- She was already dead when the stage descended upon her.
- Hodges identifies evidence of foam used in floral arrangements on the victim's clothing, Gil connects that to a security guard who escorted a woman delivering flowers to the green room. Reviewing the security tapes, Nick, Gil and Greg watch footage of the Jane Doe and another unidentified man creeping around backstage. The Jane drops her purse over a railing. If they can find it, they might get an ID
- Nick returns to the Cirque with Sofia and sifts through piles of the set's ground cork to find Jane Doe's purse. When they find it, they identify the woman as Celia Noel of Wisconsin who had tickets to all of the Cirque du Soleil shows in Las Vegas.
Dead ends:
- Catherine finds monogrammed necklace with initials "AFD," which she thinks stands for Jane Doe's real initials, but it ends up being an anagram for the Arcadia Federation of Dance.
- Robbins and Catherine both notice calluses on the girl's hands and feet, but it turned out that she was not a dancer.
Conclusion:
One of Celia's tickets was traced to Arnie Clifton's credit card. Arnie strikes a resemblance to the man on the security tapes. When the inspector visit Arnie, he has a piece of cork in his shoe, which ties him to the scene of Celia's death. He confesses that he was at the scene, and that he went with Celia back stage. When a level descended it struck her head, she fell, and he fled the scene.
Plot of secondary crime:
At a party where Sam Braun is the guest of honor and celebrating the opening of his new hotel, The Eclipse. A young man is found dead in one of the party's cabanas. Sara and Warrick arrive, and the death looks like suicide by 38 special, except for the fact that the gun is still in the man's hands.
Victim: Robert O’Brien, was an investor in the new hotel
Path of evidence:
- Robert disappeared from the party with his partner, Joe Hirschoff.
- Joe is questioned, and it comes to light that he is on alprazolam.
- Doc Robbins finds aprazolam and a BAC of .19 in the blood and sesame seeds in the victim's mouth.
- Sesame seeds are found in the barrel of the gun
- A single oven mitt is found in Robert's luggage which is later sprayed with ferrotrace. The outline of a gun is in the oven mitt.
- Sesame seeds are found in the Robert's pocket
- Robert has a condition called Dupuytren's contracture, which contracted the tendons in his hands, explaining why he wasn't able to drop the gun after he used it.
Dead ends:
- The gun in the crime is registered to Hirschoff, and Hirschoff inherits Robert's shares in The Eclipse
Romantic Moments?
- Grissom and Sara exchange furtive smiles as he drops dinner off for her.
- Possible Nick/Catherine moment. After Catherine responds to his question about if she still liked to dance, she replies she does. After which we get a beautiful closeup of Nick giving her a dreamy look.
Character story side-line:
Classic quips:
- After the coroner accidentally discharges the weapon a second time as he tries to remove it from the victim, Warrick says "At least we know one person who shot the dead guy."
Sara: It's hard to swallow when there's a gun in your mouth.
The Beginning of the Miniature Killer:
Sofia and Gil are called to a scene unlike anything they've ever witnessed. A man sits at a breakfast table, food untouched, head down on the table and blood pooled around him. We pull back from that scene and realize it's an exact reproduction of a scene in a doll house, found inside that same room. "The detail is…impressive. And terrifying," Gil says.

Hi,
I want to thank anyone who found out the first song of Bonobo on "born to kill 1 part", 'cause there's something special in this song... Here, in Italy, on Sky's Fox Crime network, it's started the 7 season and when I heard this song, it was a bang in my body...! Simply beautiful!! Really thanks, Max. |
