<< Back to Season 5

Flip of a coin watch Helpless
Flip of a coin...
Only the flip of a coin decides over Nick's future...
Watch...
The only connection the team has to Nick...
Helpless...
Grissom has to watch as the only chance to find Nick in time blows himself up in front of him...
First and only crime: Buried alive...One of their own

It seemed to be a 'normal' case, body parts were found and a flip of a coin decides that it's Nick's turn... but then he disappears and the team has to face an unpredictable man who has only one motive... revenge...

Victim: Suspect: Major Investigators:
  • Nick Stokes
  • Walter Gordon*
  • The whole team

Plot of primary crime:Quentin Tarantino e Arrivato a Las Vegas, Stagione 5
Victim: Nick Stokes
Path of evidence:

Dead ends: The kidnapper blows himself up right when Grissom has the ransom with no tricks. Luckily, Grissom didn't explode...

Plot of secondary crime:

Victim: Dog Entrails
Path of evidence: none since this was only a lure to kidnap Nick

Dead ends: They belonged to a dog

Best cringe-inducing scenes:
Watching Nick freak out in the box, crying and beating the walls.

Classic quips:
Walter: How do you feel knowing there's nothing you could do, to get him out of that hell? Helpless? Selfless? Impotent? (Grissom doesn't have to say anything as the light shines on his face) Good. Welcome to my world. (Grissom sees the explosives strapped to Walter Gordon's chest labeled 'SEMTEX') Uh, If I were you, I'd back up a little. (Grissom backs up as the bomb explodes)

Aha! moments:
When the bomb explodes and almost kills Grissom.

Romantic moments?
Grissom (to Sara): Trigger, the smartest horse in the movies.

This two-parter season finale are my favorite episodes, ever!

It had everything and I just loved it. Probably one of their strongest episodes, yet.

Amazing.

I know I'm just obsessed and all, but to me, Grave Danger was the BEST EPISODE EVER!!! I really just liked the way Nick got tortured. I'm just weird like that, though. XD
