twins1729 What I don't get about "Feeling the Heat." 3 Aug 4 2008, 10:36 AM EDT by love_gsr

Forgive me because I haven't seen this episode in a while, so I may be a bit off.

There's just something that's always bugged me. The father of the child basically admitted to accidentally leaving him in the car, and he died. There was nothing really suspicious about him (or the mom), except that they had another child who died. Except that was from an illness.

To me, if felt as though there shouldn't be any more investigating, but then we see Catherine searching their car. Unless it was some sort of procedure, she did it for no reason. She had nothing else to look for. THAT'S when she DID find something suspicious, and they found out they purposely killed the child.

My point is, was that there was no reason (that I can remember) for her to search the car in the first place. The investigation should have been over after discussing it with the parents.

*shrugs*
