Synopsis: Grissom investigates a home invasion which results in the death of an old woman living alone in her house. She is found, mummified, in a closet. Her death is probably unintentional. Another home invasion is also reported. Finger prints from the two crime scenes link the two incidents together. Meanwhile, Catherine must find out how a gun ends up in a front lawn of a house in the suburbs.

What a shocking terrible mistake made by the victim, she didn't pick a suspect who raped her. That mistake lead to her being raped again, this time to death.
