Synopsis: The team is called in after the death of a known drug addict.


Plot of primary crime:
Victim: Tony Braun
Path of evidence:
-Found dead on the floor of his home surrounded by drug paraphernalia.
-no needle marks
-pressure marks found on face > shows suffocation
-three circular red marks found on victim's chest
-finger prints found on prescription containers
-fingerprints found on doggy door
-print on tape that was used to tie down Tony
-earring back found near the body
Dead ends:
Suspects:
-Janine Haywood
Motive: Money
-Curt Ritten
Motive: Found digging in the middle of a desert, led to a secret room filled with valuables
-Walt Braun
Motive: Was erased from Tony's will

- When Eric Szmanda and William Peterson were filming the scene in which Greg tells Grissom another way to take heroin, Eric had a friend that died in a car-crash that day, but he still came in and did the scene. (According to the DVD commentary).
