Episode Guide - CSIEpisode Summary
A young man is running down the hallway and he is beat up. He's still living when CSI gets there, and Nick follows to process. Catherine and Brass interview the prostitute who found him. He was just lying there. At the hospital, Tommy's older brother Mark meets with Nick. He hasn't been seen by a doctor and the brother seems nervous. Nick sends him off and goes to process Tommy. He asks Tommy some questions and he flips out and tosses the camera at Nick. Back at the scene, Nick tells Catherine what happened and they analyze the blood. They determine that the beating went on for a while. They find a St. Christopher medal with blood. The next day Nick tries to track down Tommy who has checked himself out of the hospital. He talks to the boys' mother who is obviously drunk and doesn't live there. Mark comes home and kicks out his mom. Mark comes back in and says that Tommy left early that morning but isn't answering his phone. Nick says Tommy needs to call him.

Greg and Ray show up at a small store which has been on fire. They surmise the fire was set after the owner was dead. There is a security camera but the tape is missing. Dave arrives and says the store owner, Wayne Smith, was killed a few hours ago. They figure someone was waiting in the store. The money is missing from the register, but there is a gun still there - probably the victim's. Greg finds a small fragment in the cash register, and Ray finds the point of entry in a hinged security window. Greg finds a bag with blood and inside the bag is a box of jewelry. They figure it was an inside hit. At the station, Officer Mitchell speaks with Wayne's sister, Jess. They are on their own and she works at the store too.

Catherine runs a background on Tommy Baker. He has a record for petty theft and was a runaway. The blood has all come from one unknown male. There was also semen in the blood. They realize Tommy was raped. Catherine goes to talk to the nurse at the hospital and gathers a blood sample. Nick visits April Martin, a Victim's services representative. He wants to get insight on the case. She tells him that the attacker probably wasn't close to Tommy. He may have only known him casually. April is kind of gruff with Nick and they disagree, but in the end she offers her card Tommy and another one for Nick, in case he has anymore questions.

Back at the lab, Wendy tells Hodges that Ecklie won't let anyone else go into the field. Hodges offers to talk to Ecklie and tells Wendy he just wants her to be happy, which she is moved by.

Ray and the Doc do the autopsy on Wayne. He died from the bullet wounds but he has a slap mark on his face. He's also had sex recently. Greg tries to track the jewelry to figure out where it came from. He tracks an engagement ring to a stripper. Her stripper friend dated Wayne. The girlfriend didn't know he was stealing and they tell her he's dead.

Wendy thinks she's mixed up the results because Wayne's semen was in the alleyway and Tommy's blood was on the bag in the shop. She checks the results three times and they realize that it's right. Wayne must have raped Tommy, which gave Tommy motive to kill Wayne. Wendy and Ray process the debris from the fire. They find the tape, which is damaged, and a matchbook which may have DNA. Hodges gives Greg evidence from the shop....the dust was dust bunnies and no word on the white fragment yet.

Ray and Nick look over the tape and see that Tommy walked into the store the night before. They surmise there was a botched burglary first, then the assault, then the murder the next morning. They see that Tommy took the St. Christopher medal out of cash register. How did he know it was there? Nick can't understand why Wayne would rape Tommy, and there was evidence he had sex with a woman just before he died.

Jess is back in the station to be questioned about Tommy. She says she doesn't recognize him and that she killed Wayne. She hated Wayne and she says she was treated like property and he beat her. As she is talking, Catherine processes her room. Jess reveals a bruise on her face that she hid with makeup. Catherine finds a camera that has a picture of Jess and Tommy kissing. She says that they were going to leave town, and Tommy had gone to retrieve her St. Christopher medal, but she insists she shot Wayne.

The cops finally track down Tommy and bring him in. Nick gives him April's card. Tommy insists that nothing happened in the alley besides the beating, and that he killed Wayne. He said that Jess had nothing to do with it. He went back to the store to confront Wayne and he shot him. Mark arrives at the station and then confesses as well. Brass interviews Mark and he says he did it because Wayne raped Tommy.

There is evidence that Mark set the fire, but he claims he used a different gun than what was used. Catherine, Greg and Nick try to figure out who shot Wayne based on who has the cash. April comes to the office and tells him that Tommy couldn't have killed Wayne because he wasn't strong enough to face his attacker. Hodges finally gets the evidence on the trace in the cash register and it is nail polish, leading to the stripper. She shot him during a fight over money.

Catherine talks to Jess and she says that it's her fault Wayne went to the store and found Tommy. Nick talks to Tommy about the case and tells him that Mark will be charged with manslaughter. He gives Tommy his number and offers to help him however he can. Tommy says that he can't think about Jess without seeing Wayne's face. Nick advises him that if they really love each other, they'll get through it. Tommy is released and Jess meets him, but Tommy walks away from her.

Ok so wendy is complaining about not being able to become a csi right?
and greg is about to yell at everybody right? (of course sara will be in the episode that he finally breaks in because she is like his bff anywhoo....
wut if greg goes back to the lab? i mean nobody is giving the respect he deserves and the team is a little "fractured" i know iknow im quoting riley whatever what if wendy goes to the field and gets trained by greg and greg becomes part time investigaotr and part time lab rat. idk i have a feeling that wendy is gonnaa move to the field and greg is not gonna be in the field as much

btw- where have bobby dawson, henry and archie been???? i miss them so much. i mean im stoked about hodges getting more screen time but bobby's accent makes me melt and you know archie is a player and henry is just the cute voice of reason
