Nick snatched the results from Hodges' hand and stormed out of the trace lab, almost knocking Sofia to the floor as he went. He offered an arm to steady her, rushed an apology and sprinted towards the break room where Catherine and Warrick were pouring over a case file. The red haired woman, a look of intense concentration upon her face, leaned in closer to the autopsy photos.
Sara was up and awake bright and early as usual, but today she had to fulfil a mission. Nick and Warrick aren’t the only games fans in the lab; little does anyone know that Sara is a closet game nerd. Hell, Grissom didn’t find out until two months after he’d moved in and accidentally discovered her stash of games, whilst trying to hide a pet bug that Sara had refused to let in the house.
As she put on a pot of coffee, Gil walked into the kitchen.
“Hey, honey. Get ready, we leave in about 10 minutes.”
Said Sara as she wrapped her arms around his waist and kissed him.
“Do I have to go? I’m still sleepy.” He replied, slightly pouting.
“Aww come on bugman. Y’know if you really loved me, you’d come.”
“Mrs Grissom, I do believe you’re attempting to emotionally blackmail me.” He replied with the trademark smirk.
“Is it working?” She gave him her sweetest gap toothed grin.
“I believe so; you know I’m a sucker for your smile.”
“Good. Now go get ready.” As he walked back to the bedroom, she chuckled to herself and shook her head. “I don’t know why Greg’s so scared of you. You’re a big pushover.”
“Yeah, yeah. I better get something out of this.”
“Oh, don’t worry, you will. A real workout.” She smirked.
