I think the Grissom and Sara compliment each other. Their personalities fit nicely together and they bring out each others qualities. And after 6 season of tip toeing around the GSR tension. They finally become an item, and we get little GSR moments here at there. But after all of that, to take it away would not make sense. I think that the writers are coming up with an amazing return for Sara. And a possibly a great exit for both Grissom and Sara together. Or perhaps she will return and stay, who knows. But I do feel that she will be back and that GSR will live.
