HELLO EVERYBODY!!!!
Hi, my name's gSrgeek. I'm a girl and I live in the great ol' US of A.
I've loved and watched CSI since I was about 10 years old and my two favorite characters-and the people they are played by- are Sara and Grissom. I'm also in love with GSR(I know, shocker, ain't it?)
And if you notice I say things like, "Good Golly Gosh!" or "Okey-Dokey Artichokey!", just remember my name, it speaks VOLUMES about me! ; )

CSI CAMP!
From June 20th, to June 25th, I was spending my time at a local college, in CSI Camp! We got to stay there(it was an overnight camp), gain crime-solving skills, solve a murder, and visit some amazing places. It was a once in a lifetime experience. Here's a run-down of what I did:

Day One: We got to the camp and met everyone then set up our rooms. I had two roommates, Lisa and Elizabeth. After that, we went to our first class to learn about how different people die and causes of death and all that good stuff. We had dinner, continued learning about who's the first person on a crime scene and all the different jobs people do. Then we went back to our dorms to sleep.

Day Two: This was the day we found out about an actual crime scene we were going to solve. It was on the college campus, so we made our way over and picked out jobs. I was sketching the crime scene(trust me, it's a lot more tedious than it sounds!)
The crime was one female upstairs, dead with a bloody pen near-by(murder weapon) and a pool of blood in a room next to where she was found. Then there was a second body downstairs(male). In the next room over we found a bloody 2x4(murder weapon)
After all the evidence was collected and photographed, we went back for another class on writing warrants and requesting evidence comparisons, then discussed possible theories of the crime. Bed Time!

Day 3: Went to the County Jail and saw all the inmates.(It was hilarious! OK, so all the girls were expecting to get called at, you now?, like "Hey, baby, come over here" stuff. but what was so funny was they were calling at the guys too! And the best part? They were getting all scared because of it!)

Day 4: Went to the medical examiner's office and saw a dead guy. Honestly, the fake ones on TV are not even CLOSE to the real ones. it was freaky. We learned about the jobs in a ME's(Medical Examiner's) Office and what everyone does. The actual ME doesn't really do anything but preform autopsies, the Medical Investigators are the one who go to the body and collect evidence.

Day 5: Today, we tried the case from the crime scene at the beginning of the week. All week, while doing all the cool stuff we did, we got to meet as groups to find information on the victims, about the evidence, and what to do in a court room. I was on the defense and we won our case! The weird thing though, we defended and proved this girl was not guilty, when was actually the one who did it! Creepy, especially since if it was a real case, she would have gone free after killing two people...XP

I always know what's going on with celebrities; who's preggers, who's getting married, that kinda stuff...um...i think that's it!! : )
