I'm a 44 year old mother of 2 teenagers. Being a lifelong soap opera fan (one of my first memories, before I was 3, is of a CBS soap), I love romances. Before Season 7, I occasionally watched CSI if a commercial I saw during Guiding Light interested me. Usually, though, I just listened to it while playing on the computer in our kitchen as my family watched it in the next room (my husband has been a CSI fan since Day 1). However, three things got me watching it from the beginning of that season: the pre-season promos showing the corpses talking (I love horror movies), taping it for my husband and daughter while they watch Grey's Anatomy (they are torn between the two shows, loving both, and I don't like it, so I chose CSI), and finally noticing the romance between Grissom and Sara (I must have been blind!!!). Now I'm totally hooked, driving my family crazy. I got it so bad that all I wanted for Christmas was the first 6 seasons on DVD, which thankfully I got. Now I'm caught up on the GSR history, and can't wait for more!
"yeah i watched grey's anatomy for five minutes got bored with the promiscuity and went made cupcakes.i really dont do soap operas if you can tell by the fact that my favorite shows are house, heroes, and csi. they r all pretty anti soap opera-ish
i dont really know. all i know is that the law is more of a list of strongly worded suggestions that jsut so happens to be served with harsh punishments. but nobody looks that closely :)"
I agree that Grey's is too promiscuous. However, I do like some soap operas, but only the well-made ones with good storylines, not just sex. On the other hand, I like other dramas too, like House and CSI.
Thankfully, nobody pays a lot of attention on that dating issue! :)
