for your consideration - Jorja Fox

"Beauty is everything. Love is innocent. A future with the perfect man is life." (Jorja)

She's my favourite!!!

The best!Actress Jorja Fox is heading back to top TV drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation just months after quitting the show.

The star, who plays Sara Sidle on the hit series, walked away from the show last fall--but she is now set to return for the third episode of the upcoming season.

Confirming the news to TV Guide magazine, Fox says, "The kindest thing that the writers did for Sara Sidle was to walk her out (of the show) in one piece."

"I had an amazing, beautiful, honorable, dignified exit."

And she's thrilled she'll be back among her castmates: "I miss the people. When I left in October, it was so decisive-everybody got me a goodbye cake.

"(But) it's a surprise for me to be back, especially this soon."

Jorja Fox was in attendance at the Democratic National Convention in Denver.
Here is a video why is she nominating Barack Obama:

Here are some new Jorja's photos. Enjoy!

Hello, my name is Agnieszka!
That's me!

More about me:

I joined the CSI 'cause
I'd like to stay tuned to all the newest facts about the show and the crew.

The best word to describe me is: I thing I'm rather easygoing person, I smile a lot and LOVE watching CSI LV!

Interests: I'm interested in reading, sports, music and cooking (especially for my husband ;D )

Favorite movies: I like thrillers (esp. The Ring, Room 1408), comedies and romantic films.

Favorite TV shows besides CSI: I don't watch TV very often, so I do not have my special shows (besides CSI). In Poland we have some fine productions which I watch with pleasure (e.g. 39 and a half, Now or never, Criminals - something like CSI, but in polish edition - cool stuff!). I also like watching IT Crowds ;)

What else you should know about me: Hmm... I'm 27, married with no kids ;) I'm working in school with small kids (elementary education). I like meeting new friends so don't be shy and write to me ;)

Me and my husband ;)

Me and my students - Mai & Yuta
JORJA FOR LIFE!

What I love about CSI:
More CSI info:

My favorite CSI character: Sara Sidle and Warrick Brown (so is the rest of the crue as well!! It's hard to choose one. Everyone is special and beloved ;D)

My favorite CSI episode: Maybe 523-524 "Grave Danger" and 807 "Goodbye and Good luck") and many others!

If I lived in Las Vegas... I would try to avoid casinos (remembering Warrick) ;D and visit all the places shown in the show ;)

If I was a CSI... I would try to be objective and accurate. I know I would have to work on the same thing Sara has to, that is not to identify with the victim, 'cause like Gris said to her "you will spend all your life in hospitals" (or something like that) ;D.

If I was an actor... I would do my best to create the best character I could to make it real and credible.

Jorja
Fox's Hair

home - CSI Jorja-an Fox was born July 7, 1968 in New York City, New York. Although she had been acting since 1989, her breakout role is considered to be as Dr. Maggie Doyle on TV's ER from 1996 until 1999.
She left ER and in 2000 appeared on The West Wing and on the hit show, CSI as Sara Sidle. Although she was not in the first two episodes of the show, she appeared in the third and has remained with the show since the beginning.
In her current role of geeky crime lab goddess she is having a secret affair with her boss, Gil Grissom, played by William Peterson.
As a CSI in Las Vegas Sara finds herself in all sorts of situations including digging through all sorts of debris including digging through human waste and analyzing crime scenes.
As a result, her hair on the show is usually worn casual or pulled back. Although her character is complicated with untold inner demons, on the outside she appears all business with a fierce determination to solve the crimes she is assigned.

Jorja Fox's Hair

home - CSI The May-December romance (actor William Petersen is 53, so presumably his character is, too) also brings Fox a little job security.
Two years ago, CBS fired and then rehired Fox after she initially refused to sign a return-to-work agreement.
Here's what the 38-year-old New York native had to say about "CSI" and other topics in Pasadena, Calif., this summer:
As a teenager Fox had a career as a fashion model. She then turned to formal study of the acting craft at the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York, specifically under the tutelage of veteran actor William Hickey.
After appearing in several minor films and TV series, Fox got her big break in 1996 by landing a role in the immensely successful "ER" (1994) TV series. She appeared in 33 episodes as Dr. Maggie Doyle who became embroiled in a sexual harassment suit against a powerful hospital administrator. Fox then got a recurring role in the renowned "The West Wing" (1999) TV series where she portrayed a Secret Service agent who was in charge of protecting the President's college-age daughter. She had a key role in that series' cliffhanger episode where the President's entourage comes under gunfire by assassins
Fox now appears as part of the regular cast of the popular TV series "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (2000) where she portrays one of the crime scene investigators. Fox shared in CSI's 2005 Screen Actors Guild award for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series.

In addition to her TV and movie roles, Fox is the co-founder of an experimental stage theater production company called Honeypot Productions. Fox is also a musician and songwriter. She wrote and performed the song "Lullabye" which was featured in the movie Traveling Companion (1998).
Catherine O'Hara was one of seven children born March 4, 1954 in Ontariohome - CSI, Canada and is a third generation Irish Catholic Canadian.
She has been acting since 1980 and appeared in dozes of supporting roles during that time. Catherine also has provided various voices for animated film roles including Chicken Little and Over The Hedge.
One of my favorite Catherine roles was as Christine Valco in Surviving Christmas. She played the unhappily married harried mom to a family that agrees to rent themselves out to Ben Affleck for the Christmas Holidays.
Attended Hoover Junior High in Indialantic, Florida.
She is part of a production company called Honeypot with Heather Grody (Murmurs singer/guitarist). They produce plays and recently a musical called Dear Bernard, written by Grody.
Went to Melbourne High School in Melbourne, Florida, for two years before being "discovered" in a model search at a local mall.
Her name, Jorja, is pronounced Georgia (like the state in the U.S.).
Her mother was from Montreal, Canada.
Her parents immigrated from Montreal: mother Marilyn (Belgian-Canadian, b. 1927, d. 1996), father (Irish-Canadian, b. 1924). She also has an older brother, Jeff (b. 1957).
Co-founded the experimental theater group Honeypot Productions.
In July 2004, Fox was fired from the hit show "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (2000) for refusing to sign documentation stating she would return to work. Her co-worker, George Eads, was fired the day after she was for not showing up to work. Reportedly both actors wanted more money. Fox returned to work the following Thursday after being fired, and Eads the next day.
She is also fantastic in two of the two Home Alone movies but in interviews with the media has promised that art does not imitate life with her own two sons (9 and 12 years old).
Her face is might be recognizable, especially if you love Christopher Guest films. This very funny lady has been in Waiting For Guffman, Best in Show and A Mighty Wind.
Is a dedicated vegetarian, and an aspiring vegan.
Has the following pets: Ali (dog, female boxer), Rumplestiltskin (cat), and Sid Poitier (cat, male, formerly named Sid Vicious)
She ranked #80 in Stuff's "103 Sexiest Women" (2003).
She enjoys traveling, playing the guitar, and singing.
Best friend of actress Amy Carlson, whom she met on the Chicago set of the short- lived television series "Missing Persons" 1n 1993.

Jorja's Hair Secrets

home - CSIIn various interviews Catherine has indicated she is not a fan of needles other than those used in acupuncture treatments.
She has also implied her interests in maintaining her honey blonde highlighted tresses, which appear to have a beautiful natural wave, is minimal.
I wouldn't be surprised that Catherine is a low maintenance type of hair wearer. Besides having two young sons and a marriage to a very successful Hollywood writer, Catherine is busy with lots of acting and voice work.
The no muss, no fuss textured hairstyles that Catherine wears on the Red Carpet are perfect for her busy lifestyle as well as looking softly elegant for her various fashions.
Although Catherine has appeared with sleek straight tresses, she also shows off some beautiful waves and curls that have a slightly tousled feel.

Steal Catherine's Soft Wavy Texture

Catherine's face shape is basically oval but she has a slightly prominent chin and strong forehead.
As a result, she looks best with hairstyles that extend to the tops of her shoulders or longer. She varies her style with different types of parts.
The multi-talented performer has gorgeous sparkling blue eyes and ahome - CSI stunning smile that play well with her blonde hair.
Catherine has a great girl-next-door aura. Her just-below-the-shoulder length hair is soft and shiny but not too sexy for a mom of two young boys.
It appears that Catherine's hair is naturally wavy.
Her mane could be styled with a diffuser attached to a blow dryer to encourage natural texture or she could wash it and then scrunch it.
Another option is to blow dry it using a round brush to encourage volume and movement finishing with a curling iron run vertically through her tresses to create loose waves.

Step By Step Instructions

Follow the steps listed below to re-create Catherine's soft wavy texture.
Keep in mind that anyone with natural curls and waves would need to be temporarily straightened with a paddle or flat brush and then curled along the ends with hot rollers or a curling iron.
Naturally straight strands would need to be blown out with a round brush to add fullness and movement and the ends would require curling.

home - CSI 1. Shampoo and condition natural curls with products created for your hair texture, type and currentcondition.
If your strands are excessively dry, which naturally curls might be, use products to add back moisture.
If your hair is colored or chemically treated be sure to use products that address these special needs to prevent the development of additional dryness or damage.
2. Finish with a cool/cold water rinse to close the cuticle and help add natural shine.
3. Towel blot - do not rub - hair with an absorbent towel. Remove excess moisture so that hair is damp but not dripping.
Note: If you wish to add volume products, apply a volumizing spray like PhytoVolume Actif or similar to your roots. Finger pick and massage the volumizing products through the root area.
4. Depending on your specific natural curl type and condition apply a moisturizing heat protecting conditioner or a product cocktail which includes a leave-in conditioner and/or defrisant product along with a straightening balm (if your hair is wavy or curly) or a styling mousse (if you have straight strands and desire volume, natural bend and texture).
5. Separate hair into individual 2" sections. Clip remainder of hair out of the way.
Start at the back and using a Boar's bristle paddle brush (paddle to straighten or round to add volume)home - CSI direct air flow from a blow dryer with an attached concentrator down the shaft of the hair to seal the cuticle and add shine.
6. After each section is 100% dry, roll around a large curler or into a free form pin curl.
Pin to the scalp and continue to blow dry the remaining hair.
7. When all of the hair is dry, remove the pin curls.
Bend over at the waist and run fingers that have been lightly coated with shine serum through the strands.
8. Flip hair back over and arrange with fingers or wide tooth pick.
9. Use a curling iron (or hot rollers if you prefer) and create random curls along the bottom of the style.
10. Allow curls to cool and then tousle lightly with fingers.
11. Finish with a spritz of hairspray for hold and to prevent frizz.

Optional Tips & Looks

home - CSI If you want a soft cascade of waves "in an instant" but have no time to curl your hair check out the latest Ken Paves and Jessica Simpson HairDo options from HairUWear.
Ken and Jessica Simpson developed a spectacular line of clip-in hair that can transform your hair in a matter of minutes with no permanent changes.
It's easy to steal Catherine's soft waves if you select either the 23 inch HairDo Synthetic Wavy Clip-in Extension or the 21 inch HairDo in Human Hair in a variety of gorgeous hues.
Steps To Add A HairDo Piece:
1. Prepare the texture of your own hair to match the texture of your add-on piece.
2. Create a horizontal part from temple to temple near the crown.
3. Clip your top hair up and out of the way.
4. Wrap your bottom strands into a few flat pin curls. Secure well.
5. Simply snap on the HairDo piece.
6. Unclip your top hair and integrate it with the added HairDo piece.
7. Finger tousle and you're finished.
8. If desired, finish the style with a gorgeous silk or real flower, a jewel encrusted barrette or similar clip or pin placed near the hairline.

Little
bit about MY Jorja ;P
baby

Jorja FoxJorja Fox (Jorja-An Fox) was born on July 7, 1968 in New York City, New York, then was raised in Florida. She attended Hoover Junior High in Indialantic, Florida. Jorja went to Melbourne High School in Melbourne, Florida for two years before being "discovered" in a model search at a local mall. Subsequently she enrolled as a drama student at the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York, under the tutelage of actor William Hickey.

She describes herself as being overweight while growing up, with a prominent gap between her teeth. By her twenties, neither her wisdom teeth nor braces had appreciably helped, and she said "forget it" ;P

Her name is pronounced as "Georgia." She is most often credited as Jorja Fox,
but has also been credited as "Jorjan Fox." One of Fox's friends calls her "Horha", how Jorja would be pronounced in Spanish, as a nickname.

Jorja is a part of Heather Grody's (Murmurs singer/guitarist) Honey Pot. She is also a supporter of the Human Rights Campaign and—being a dedicated vegetarian since the age of 20—has worked with PETA to help promote vegetarianism. She has a purse named after her by the Montréal company Matt & Nat, which designs Vegan purses. VegAd

Jorja has had numerous guest appearances on television shows such as ER, The West Wing and Missing Persons. She had also a small role in the movie Memento.

Jorja is/has been currently staring as Sara Siddle on CSI. She has been playing this role since Friday, October 13th, 2000.

Why Jorja left CSI?
She left CSI, saying that she wanted a break "from the commitment of a weekly television series." At her request, the money collected during the "Dollars for Sense" campaign will be donated to National CASA, an organization dedicated to aiding foster children. You can read about it in this article ;P Jorja's interview in EW

Since leaving CSI, Jorja Fox produced the musical Stay Forever: The Life and Music of Dusty Springfield, about the musician Dusty Springfield.

Jorja's quotes

Jorja about her life:

On her future:
Theater is one of my loves, so I'm open for that after 11½ years of working inJorja's hobby prime-time TV, for 'ER,' 'The West Wing,' and 'CSI.' I've never been to college, and I think about that. But I kept putting it off, and I am also thinking about having a child, and that's really important. Also, I want to do a lot of traveling and surfing - two of my hobbies. Maybe the universe will get tired of me. I have a one-woman little play about Dusty Springfield opening February 2nd, at the Renberg Theater in Hollywood.

On plans beyond CSI: I’d love to be a producer when I grow up. I’m trying, like the play this summer and other than that I’m pretty open, I mean obviously I’ll keep acting as long as people keep being willing to work with me you know. I’m lucky, I’ve just done my tenth year on network television in a row, so I do think there’s a part of me that’s like, 'Man, I should just go work on a farm for a year! and then try and come back. Take a little break and get out of people’s living rooms. (laughs)

JorjaJoking on her personal style: Usually I’m tired, I haven’t slept, I’m drinking six cups of coffee a day.I would probably put me in the extreme low maintenance category. I love massage. That’s my big thing, even if I’m going to the spa, I’ll almost always go for the massage over any other treatment. I'd do a nude scene for world peace or if I were facing some serious jail time, but I'm also a sucker for a good bottle of wine and candlelight.

On becoming a vegetarian: I was having a meatball sub one day in Brooklyn, and it just clicked. I was in the middle of that sandwich, but I put it down—and I never ate meat again. If you just cut down [on meat] or tried [vegetarianism], you might find that you love it. And the list of things that you’d be doing positively to affect the planet and the next seven generations that come after you is humongous.

On the alternative spelling of her name: My mom made up Jorja. I spent the first 10 years of my life convincing people that I knew how to spell my name. Everyone tried to tell me I couldn't spell. I'm not a good talker. I'm not very verbal, so I don't have alternative names for most things. I'm lucky if I can get something out that's more than two syllables. In English.

When asked if anyone had ever made a charming play on her last name how they were rewarded: I stayed for breakfast.

On what she likes to splurge on: Chocolate, coffee, pizza. And beer. I could show you my six-pack, which is not like most actresses' six-packs in this town!

HobbyOn her hobby of playing rock music: I get together with friends and play music from time to time, in the adult-alternative vein. I don't have the time to actually be in a band. Someday, when CSI is over and done, maybe I'll start a new band. Mostly I play guitar; most people don't care for my singing. But I love to sing, so I do it a little bit.

On what she would be doing if she wasn't an actress: I have no idea. I have no job skills. I was actually discovered when I was 15 in this really little town in Florida. I was at the mall one day and I got an opportunity to go to New York City and do some modeling, which was great. That paid my rent for a couple of years. I worked at a kennel for a long time. That was probably one of the best jobs I've ever had but definitely one of the more obscure.

On marriage: Just to think about it gives me heart palpitations. It's like I can't breathe. It sends shivers down my spine! But I still believe in true love.
home - CSI
On being scientific: Dissecting corpses, it's not really my cup of tea. I'm more of an artistic type.

In terms of CSI and how successful its been I just kind of feel like one of the luckiest people on the planet. On being a CSI: I couldn't possibly do it. I have a tremendous amount of respect for the folks that do it. I think they're amazing. They're really brave, and the burn-out rate is very high actually. People do it for a certain amount of time and then they move on to other stuff.

Jorja about GSR:

On her relationship with William Petersen : I sit every once in a while and I think about plays and films ISara and Gris can do with William Petersen into our eighties. He's the most incredible scene partner I've ever had. And again, I've never had the opportunity to work with somebody for seven years like that. It's a really unique experience as an actor to have a scene partner for that long. And then at the end of the seven years to think more highly of them than you did in the first year, to find them even more complex and interesting…. He's a great friend and I feel like I couldn't have scored any higher than getting William Petersen to be my boyfriend on TV. It's been amazing. It's a dream and a joy to work with William Petersen. He is funny, he is very smart, and he is wild! What’s not sexy about William Petersen?

On Grissom revealing their relationship: Yea, I leave him alone for five minutes and he tells everyoneSara&Gil that were having this fabulous little secret love affair...assuming that you know Sara makes it out ok, who knows whats going to happen. On Grissom and Sara's romance: After we dropped the proverbial bomb at the end of last season [six], we decided to just let it breathe a little bit – sort of like, ‘well now you know, and here's what it looks like.’ It was a great first half of the year for them – it was very pleasant and there wasn't a lot of tension, we just wanted the dust to settle. From here on out, there's going to be some interesting stuff that takes place between the two of them and I was really excited about it. And I kind of decided at the beginning of the year that, even though I was under the umbrella of CSI - I, personally, was in a romantic comedy.

On playing out the Sara and Grissom relationship: You have to think all over again, really who is this person and how would she respond and how would she be in this situation. Because she had a couple of boyfriends that she liked, but her sights have sort of always been on this one man.

Eric and JorjaOn how she feels about the Sara and Grissom story line: These two people, they have a lot in common. They’re both really not great with people in many respects and they’re emotionally detached in many respects. If two people like that can kind of find each other, there’s something really beautiful in that.

On Greg's feelings for Sara
:
Eric "broke up with me" in a magazine last summer. We were working a little tension on the show between Greg and Sara, when I read in a magazine that Eric was done with all that. I called him and said, "If you want to break up with me, at least do it in person." It's so great to have your private relationships play out in the press.

Jorja about CSI:

On the Early Show about the ending of CSI season seven: I’m not a big fan of Sara being in any kind ofsidele name tag peril. I think that when you'd play a character as long as I have...what going on like thirty-six years? No, I’m kidding seven years. You become very, very, very, very, very, very close to that character in ways that, uh, are difficult to describe so intrinsically as an artist you know my desire is to protect that character and keep that character safe. I mean, I don’t want to be the victim of this jerk, this terrible serial killer and then the part - the actor part of me was thrilled that I had something meaty to do in the last episode of the season.George Eads - on Jorja's return for season eight of CSI: If we find ourselves in the situation that she's not with us next year, we'll be in trouble, there's only one Jorja Fox. Jorja - On Sara coming back for season eight at the opening of CSI: If I did know, I'd smile and tell you I didn't. But I hope Sara's alive and well and back for a sexy season eight romance. George and Jorja
On season seven of CSI: This has been a great year for Sara. It's really rare that you get a season seven and it's hugely rarer that you can go into season seven with this brand new idea of a storyline. Grissom and Sara have been doing this tango for a long time but after the finale in season six, it really left people with the sense that not only is something going on, but how long has this been going on. So it's really fun to have this new thing to play. Billy and I thought that Sara and Grissom thing had been played out and that people were sick of it and wanted new storylines. I was really surprised to find out that there was space for it, that people would like to see what would happen between them.

On the worst smelling thing in the lab:
Burned human skin. Sometimes we wish the show were scratch-and-sniff, because we have to pretend that we're encountering bad smells all the time. Maybe that's for season four or five.

On who she would like to see as a victim on CSI: Larry David! I'd love to see him naked in the morgue. I've never met him, but I love his show. He's brilliant and funny, and it would be great to see him play a corpse.

CSI TEAMOn the CSI theme song: That's still, you know, my favorite part of the show. Every week is the song with the credits. It was unbelievable that we were able to get that song. And it was Billy's idea. Billy Peterson was like, 'No, this song. This song.

On CSI influencing people to go into forensics: It's surprising, and it's amazing. The numbers are up a lot, which is great, because there is a lack in the field in general. There's a lack of money, there's a lack of people doing it, so more people joining would be good. I hope that everybody sticks to it.

On the CSI spin-offs: I don't think the spin-offs have hurt our show, but I think that they were certainly motivated by a certain level of greed. And they weren't anybody's creative brainchild. They came out of a way to make as much money as quickly as possible. I think if you offer somebody a really great piece of cake, they're going to take it. But then if they're offered cake every day, you might start to want ice cream. I may have wished, you know, that there weren't any spin-offs of CSI but I think that the shows have been able to sort of find their own legs. Jorja as Sara Sidle

Jorja about Sara:

Sara is my favorite character I've ever played. It's a joy every single week to get to go to work and be that person…I still feel like there's a pretty healthy sense of mystery around her after six years. It's a testament to the writers that there are still some secrets and some parts of her and puzzles of her own that people would like to know more about.

On how she is like her character, Sara: I am probably more like her than any other character I've played, which is lucky considering that this has been going on for six years…I do like her a lot. She's much smarter than I am. But I also like to focus on one thing for a while. We have OCD in common. I'm very idealistic, like Sara. (Jorja, like her characer Sara Sidle,Jorja as Sara Sidleis a bit pessimistic when it comes to weddings.) I am not really acting in this episode, I just show up. Deep down inside, I think there is a romantic that lives inside Sara, but I think she thinks that a lot of people get married for the wrong reason and the wrong way and this wedding is a good example.

When asked what she liked most about her character: I love that I’m playing someone who’s like worlds smarter than I am! It’s a really great feeling that - always a good reason to get out of bed, like 'I went to Harvard and Berkeley and studied physics, nuclear fission…'
